When storing food with oxygen absorbers these are the best! They come in single packets so I can do one jar/mylar or 20 jars/mylar with out the stress of running "out of time" before sealing everything! There's no waste of packets (most companies come in 5,10 or 20) packets that you usually have to throw out if only sealing a few things. No need to "wait" to seal multiple things at one time. For me? It alleviated a lot of stress. They cost more but I don't care...keeping it simple works for me.

I live in a very humid place. Sealing foods in plastic just isn't enough to keep them fresh. Since I started using these together with a dessicant, potato chips are good for a couple of days once opened and they keep their flavor. I can once again buy food in economical packages and not have to throw it out the next day. Big win for not too much expense.

Each one is individually packaged and has an indicator so you know if it has been exposed to oxygen.

I needed oxygen absorbers to use in my 5 gal. buckets of rice, beans, grains, etc., and these seemed to be be the right size. Once my order was put in, I received them within a few days. One of the main reasons I chose these, was because they were small and individually sealed, then packaged in a bag instead of being loose, which would require me to use them all at the same time. Each individual package has a small round oxygen indicator, which shows if they’re fresh or have been exposed to oxygen. Upon arrival, I had only one packet which apparently had a leak and the indicator had already changed colors. Since this is my first purchase of this type of product, I have no reference of whether that’s common. I didn’t think much of it as a ‘one time’ experience, but if I ordered multiple packages of the oxygen absorbers and each package had a bad packet, that could add up. Truthfully, I also have no experience in knowing if the oxygen absorbers are doing what they’re supposed to in the buckets where I used them, but I trust that they are. Obviously, time will tell. I anticipate I may need more of these for long term storage of food items in the future, and I definitely wouldn’t have a problem ordering more of these.

Love the fact that the 20 packets come individually sealed so you don't have to hurry up and seal all of them in a Mason jar once you open package! 👍1 packet will protect a whole 5 gallon bucket of dry goods or 5 gallon mylar bag worth of dry goods.

I am changing my review because I thought they were damaged when in fact they were just vacuum packed and so hard I thought they had been exposed to the air. Apologies my mistake.

We like that each packet of ten is separately wrapped. These help to make our food storage longer than expiration date when packaged properly with Mylar bags and vacuum packaging. Great buy for the price.
