An exciting scope
I saw this telescope on Utube with my son who is also interested in astronomy, that is why I bought two. We are delighted with them as they are quite easy to use, a good starter telescope and also good for terrestrial use.

Excellent support from main distributor (Opticalvision)
Bought Mine last August and only used it infrequently due to lousy "seeing" at my location. The telescope performs almost as well as my Skwatcher 150 on a synscan mount but is much smaller and more portable. the useable magnification is about the same although obviously the aperture is smaller and therefore only suitable for relatively bright objects.Although the mount is extremely simple in construction almost to the point of being crude, it does what it claims and worked well until the beiginning of March when the control system failed. An email to Opticalvision with the a description of the problem led to a diagnosis of motherboard failure. They suggested contacting Carmarthen Camereas (The supplier) for attention under warranty, which I did. They required the return of the whole system, not just the mount, to send to optical vision which would have meant losing it for possibly 4 months, the time required to obtain a motherboard.A quick eMail to opticalvision was returned with an offer of a motherboard to fit myself, as soon as they can get one, meaning that I can keep the scope and at least use it manually until the replacement arrives.A really excellent resolution to the problem under the circumstances.

Great for astronomy and photography
Great piece of kit, giving good views. The ability to attach a camera was the primary reason for purchase and I have achieved time lapse and 360 panoramic shots.

Can be let down by factory colimation
Awesome mount let down by a poor telescope. The little alt az mount is great, tracks well and when coupled with the Skywatcher wifi dongle you get a mini goto scope. Mine however had a problem, you couldn't bring anything into sharp focus, it turns out the colimation was off, and its a non adjustable 'fixed at the factory' type. The annoying thing us Skywatcher do a 90mm Maksutov you *can* adjust , but for price I guess didn't use it. The mini newtonian they do on this moint is the same, in having a fixed primary mirror. Its a shame, the mount deserves better. If you get a good one I imagine you'll love it, but its put me off non-adjustable scopes.

Excellent little Scope for a beginner or as a Grab and Go travel Scope.
I bought this scope primarily as a travel scope (ie. a grab and go scope), and for the ability of the mount to take a DSLR camera for wide field astro-photography.Generally the scope build quality is excellent, however as from when the scope arrived till now no clear skies at night at my location so will update as to the scopes optical qualities for astronomy at a later date. Have done a simulated polar set up in day light and the tracking seems to be fine. The scope also fits my Manfrotto tripod either directly using the 3/8 head screw or utilizing a 3/8 to 1/4 converter and using a Quick release plate, this holds it just as firmly.Update: Had a little viewing time with it now (sky conditions have been very poor at night in my area, since jan now nearly end of march) have observed Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, and Venus. Saturn and its rings are visible and the gap in the rings could just be discerned.Jupiter and its stripes could be seen along with the four Galilean moons.Mars observing conditions were not too good but some surface texture could just be made out.Venus at the time of observing was just a bright cresent,All were observed using a x5 Barlow and a 30mm eyepiece ( This gives more eye relief than a 6mm eyepiece, I am a spectacle wearer).
