A big step up in quality!
The media could not be loaded. I've used a Bushnell trail camera for years. While it's been a lot of fun, the Bushnell's resolution was low, the monochrome screen functions crude, and the tripod base mount broke twice. Time for a replacement! I found that trail cams have improved greatly in features and value. For about half the price, the Meidase is at least twice the camera.Although I've only used it for a couple days, it's been a pleasure. Setup was smooth, with easy-to-use menus and a clear manual written in English. The functionality is rich and there are many new features I'm eager to try. I was initially disappointed to find a "pop" sound at the start of each video. My email query to Meidase about it was quickly answered with clear instructions on how to download and install a firmware upgrade which resolved the issue.Photo and video quality, while much improved over my Bushnell, was somewhat less than I had expected - not exactly camera quality, but quite good for a trail cam. (Please see my attached video and photos for examples.) The daytime shots were clear (with maybe a bit too much contrast), but the twilight images came out rather blurry. The nighttime pictures lost some resolution and focus but were much better than my old trail cam.So, overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase and look forward to many hours of fun with it. Thanks, Meidase!Update: After almost 3 years of faithful service my Meidase suffered a fall and lost its internal display (though it still records videos to its memory card). Even now, well after warrantee expiration, TAO at Meidase provided excellent technical support. Great company with excellent products! Thank you, Meidase!

Works far better than more expensive cams
I didn’t need a cellular cam but tried one of those first. Unfortunately you have to pay to receive more than 100 pics per month. I can get that many in a day or two. This cam takes great pics and I can download from inside my houseusing the included app. Stated range is pretty accurate at about 40 ft. Quality of motion sensor and pics are very good.

Great features at a great price
I'd tried other trail cams and was disappointed. This model seems to do everything I could want from a cam. Beyond hunting, we're even using it with the grandkids to capture the 'nightlife' by our pond. The pictures are great and the videos are a lot fun. I especially like the ease of getting the videos from the camera and the phone app is very useful.

The wifi function is worthless
If you are buying the camera for the Wifi feature don't bother. The camera seems to work like any other game camera and is quite easy to program. The wifi feature and the app is worthless, it isn't reliable even at 15 feet. You can walk over to the camera, take the SD card and read 20 pictures before it connects to the app, if it connects at all. Solar

Very good quality
The media could not be loaded. I own several different types of trail cameras, ranging from $30 to $180, and this Meidase camera is probably the best of the bunch. The photo quality is very good, and the quality of the video is phenomenal, considering that this is where most of them fall down. The quality of the video picture couldn't be better, and the sound picks up everything and plays it back clearly. My only complaint is that the audio includes a whirring reminiscent of a 16 mm projector. I'm 70, so I remember 16 mm projectors. It doesn't drown out the sound, but it's there in the background. If two people are talking thirty feet away, I can clearly hear what they are saying - which, by the way, was not what I was looking for - but I use it to illustrate the quality of the audio.I haven't had this camera for a long time but I have had it for a few months, and it has been out on trees during blizzards and rainstorms and has survived it all very well. I recommend it highly and will be buying more of them.A few days later... I just ordered a second one.A few months later... I ordered a third one. The audio problem that I mentioned in my original review only occurs on the first one that I received. The other two do not do that. Over the past several years, I have bought dozens of trail cameras, including some that were far more expensive, and these beat them all in day photos, night photos, video, and audio.Later... I have four of them now and stand by my review. Although the first one had the whirring sound that I mentioned above, I was pleased with the product nevertheless, and the other three don't do that. This is a good camera, and they have held up through all of the seasons that Maine can throw at them.

Great WiFi range, fast downloads
The wifi range is better than others i have tried. I can easily download last nights critters and enjoy them every morning. I live is a residential area so daytime deer are few but I have to be ready for the rut, even here no telling what may show up.Favorites: works with a Stealth Cam 12v battery box, other wifi cameras need 6v.The price of the battery box cheaper then a 20 pack of the recomended Energizer Ultimate Lithium AA Batteries!Photo and video quality is far past $130 camera it replaced.Audio is far better than most. I can hear the deer chew the corn.Note from photo, that is not the wifi antenna it came with it is a larger one off a cellular browing. The original could have been fine did not try it.Camera mounted easily to top rail of chain link fence with Slow Dolphin camera mount.
