In the Company of Wolves (SWAT, 3)

I enjoy this series a lot. Each book carries the main storyline along with men finding their soulmates at the same time. The hardest part that I come across is when there are so many books in a series and the characters go from book 1 to show up in other books to keep straight who is who and who is with whom. Luckily this author has fixed that issue with her website on an extra page with information about each of the men and who their soulmates are.

4 stars - It was really goodWhen the SWAT team ends up in a shoot out with a group of gang of criminals they find out they are a pack of werewolves. During the firefight Eric Becker comes face-to-face with a female shifter who instantly sets off his wolf side and now he has to figure out a way to get her away from the other pack.This was another great addition to this series. With each book, Tyler keeps expanding this world of werewolves and the lore behind it. I really love that we are seeing other types of werewolves now like betas and omegas. Also, I love seeing more female werewolves and hope we get more in the future.Jayna Winston has had a rough life but she found a family with her wolf pack. Unfortunately, things have recently gone down hill with her alpha and now she finds herself struggling to do the right thing. I really enjoyed Jayna. She was a great heroine who was extremely compassionate and protective of her little pack. I liked that while she wasn’t as alpha as Khaki, she still would stand up and fight when necessary.Eric was a great hero. He went out of his way to protect Jayna, but also allowed her to be a part of it at the same time. He never stifled her or pushed her. I really loved how careful he was after she disclosed how she had changed. He really was perfect for her. Their relationship was a fated mate one but it was a slower paced one due to the circumstances and her past traumas. I quite enjoyed it because it worked perfectly in between the action.Overall, this was a great addition to the series. It really expanded this world of werewolves and introduced a great new group of characters.Trigger Warnings: Discussions of attempted rape, domestic abuse, alcholism, and suicide.

This isn't your normal Wolves story, to read this you will have to forget most of what you have read by other authors. Ms. Tyler takes you on a world you have never seen where these wolfs are just starting to know what being one means. This throw me off but once I closed my mine to what the norm is I found this to be a very interesting book. I did find a few things a little over the top but it works well with the story. It starts with a bang and pretty much ends with one. This is an action packed read that moves pretty fast filled with adventure as packs find their way to being the best they can. I have not read any of the rest of the series and most likely had I it would have filled in a few things. This is a standalone but I am guessing you really should read this from the start of the series. I wish I had noticed it in audio I feel I would have liked it better as well as maybe understood more.I am a little confused as to what makes them turn for the first time. If it was in this book I must have over looked it. I would have liked that to have been explained a little better. I was a little surprised to see so many alphas in one place again this is not the norm and you must close your mind to all that you have learned up to this point as the author takes you though the lives of these packs to bring you a different read with many different twist.What I really enjoy was how the pack pulled together to protect each other. They knew what they were doing was wrong but they stand beside each other none leaving the other alone. I enjoyed how the SWAT team worked together and protect those who needed it even when they knew these people were in the wrong but understood they were made to do what they did.You could really feel the emotion between Eric and Jayna. Each finding out things about the other and what other packs deal with. It is a learning experience as these two are drawn together. Jayna not leaving her pack behind for any reason where they go she goes. I did enjoy the read but there is a lot of questions left up in the air for me. I am giving this a 3.5 rounding it up to a 4 star. There are a lot of good parts with lots of action along with dangerous situation that leads to explosive sexual passion. This is so different from anything of this nature that you will ever read. The author takes you on a different course where all the rules have changed and things are very different. Give it a read and see what you think.

This was a great read I picked up the book and did not put it down I read it in 24 hours !! To hear the backstory on Jayna broke my heart to hear what she had to go through and to end up where she was broke my heart but I love how her and decker Met. Lol what a better way for those two to meet during the shoot out .... I think from there I just fell in love with Eric Becker He is laid back easy-going fun-loving attitude just Sean through but his very protective of Alf at Sout he is laid back easy-going fun-loving attitude just shine through but his very protective of Alfa self that he was towards her just swoon Me... This story had everything it had action suspense some playful times and sexy heat ! Wait to get to know more of the swat team and their stories I am now hooked !!

I love everything by Paige Tyler !! You can never go wrong!! This book was amazing! Story is amazing and you can't help but fall I love with her characters!! Highly recommended anything by her!

Jayna was a 17 year-old girl who escaped from a bad family experience when she was changed.Eric and his team were investigating a warehouse when he encountered the odd scent coming from one of the gang breaking and entering.After tracking her down, he meets and talks to Jayna. Then he decides to go undercover with the other group of werewolves. As he learns more about the younger members and the greed of those running them.As he and Jayna set up the two groups to distrust each other and keeping his colleagues in the know before all blows up in to trouble, finally ending well.

Never before been into this genre of "changers", BUT Paige Tyler has changed my mind! An exciting, at times funny, definitely erotic romantic & within the concept of the actual story, believable story! Maybe it's because in general, on it's own, as a romantic thriller, even without the "changing" aspect it would stand up, so I shall look forward to reading the next books in the series!!

This series just keeps getting better and better. The basis of the story is a believable scenario in real life, without the wolfies that is, they just make it awesome.
