Grisham Window Security Bars work well
The Grisham AWG Fixed Window Security Bars are just what I needed to secure a few windows. The built quility is good and creates an extra layer of defence. The are pricy but they are a good choice for the money. They come in different sizes to fit most windows. They attach with screws (not like some cheap ones that need strong adhesive to attach). These are overall very functional and easy to install.

Sturdy Little Bars
These are sturdy extension bars. The 18” I bought have 4 mounting screws on each end making it pretty stout. I am using them on the inside of shed windows as security and I have no doubt they will provide exactly what I’m needing at a price that meets my budget. If there is one flaw, it is that you can only mount from the side of the mounting bars keeping me from mounting them inside the window frame and must be installed outside the frame. Small issue but may factor for someone that had deep frames and want to still reach in to operate windows. I don’t think they’re really marketed as security bars, but they will absolutely work perfectly for shed/barn/coup security bars. They would have tear out the window frame to get through these or bring a noisy saw. I haven’t tried cutting them and won’t.

Buy new because if you buy used some parts may be missing.

Window bars
Keeps my kids from sneaking out their rooms and opening their windows. He’s only 3 and has had to be protected from his own mischievous actions early on. The installation was easy and quick. Pretty durable item. I mean he hangs from them like King Kong. Thank god this is a window only a foot off the floor and his beds right there. I’m it fond of the look for the indoors, but gotta give up some things to keep the kiddos safe. I’d recommend getting these.
