I've only ever written a couple reviews in my life. But I had to write a review for this item. It's a 4-star for now because I only bought it 1 week ago. So we'll see how it does over the next few months. I'm one of those people that had a Tamagotchi back in the 2000s and I loved it. I still have the original version of the Tamagotchi Connection that's in great condition just needs a battery. So when my 10yrs old child didn't know what they wanted for their birthday I decided to research the different versions of the Tamagotchi. I was going to get the Tamagotchi that incorporated Pokémon Eeve because they love Pokémon. But it was way too small and in Japanese not English.The biggest pro for the Tamagotchi Uni from my days:1. Rechargeable battery with a USB cord (I'm not sure if some of the newer versions have this too). No more having to replace the battery.2. It's in colour not black and white (some other versions have colour)3. It's come with a wrist band so it can be worn like a watch.4. It's not too needy (it was left at home while they were at school and was still alive).5. It has the Tamaverse where you can connect with other Tamagotchi around the world.6. You can dress it up, decorate the house, win or buy items, go on walks, to the mall etc.7. Hire a babysitter if you're going to be too busy.Cons for me:1. Not touch screen.2. Seems to only have 2 volume modes (on or off, can't really adjust the volume).2. It doesn't come with a keychain if you want to put it on your bag (but not really necessary because it has a wristband).I'm going to leave it at that for now.

It arrived in just 1 day in perfect condition. I'm glad I read other reviews about the screen scratching. I bought some screen protectors and it's perfect. The screen is very soft so I would highly recommend protecting it before use. I was nervous when I read others arrived damaged but I didn't have that issue. The initial setup is easy. I've only ever had original tamagotchis so this upgrade is very exciting. I ordered the pink one as well after trying out the purple

Got this from my niece’s oh my gosh, and it is so cute and great condition

I used to play with an old school tamagotchi as a kid and wanted to see if my daughter would enjoy it as well. She LOVES it. Super interactive and engaging. I live that it is in color now and so many fun option to make your "pet" happy.
