Bought as a present, greatly appreciated

what can I say. heard so much about hunger games and waited years to watch them but enjoyed every single minute of these sci fi films based on the future where there is the majority of people in sheer poverty and the centre of the "empire" is overflowing with decadence where life is cheap and the unltimate thrill is watching people die in the most cruellest of "games". the rich have so much food that they need a special drink to allow them to gorge themselves....while the outer precints starve...sadly it looks as if we are following the hunger games politically

I admit to myself that I was stupid enough to watch the mocking Jay part 1 in the cinema before I read or watched any of the previous.But now I have got the complete trilogy of the books for Christmas and finished them in several days; I couldn't put the book down!Now I have ordered the films and they are arriving today; I'm waiting, eating my breakfast, at the bottom of the stairs for films to come!I think I'm addicted!

Great film but as im finding out buying a blu-ray with UV is pointless as unless you buy at the time the UV redemption code has expired even if still in a new condition and Lionsgate refuse to redeem as it is outwith the time usually about 2 years from the look of it. So easier to just buy a cheap blu-ray itself.

If you have a spare weekend or evening with the World Cup over then you could do a lot worse than watching these. I bought these as a present for someone who had read the books. They enjoyed the two films and thought they were true to the books. I hadn't read the books but enjoyed the films very much. I look forward to seeing the third film.

I ordered this for my daughter as she was desperate to see it, I pre-ordered to be delivered on release date which was on a Monday, it actually came on the Sunday which was a pleasant suprise as we didn't know you could get deliveries on a Sunday. Very pleased daughter and very happy mom to have a quiet house :)

Although targeted at a much younger age group I really enjoyed reading the books and hoped the films would be as good. I wasn't disappointed and enjoyed both of them very much. Jennifer Lawrence was excellent in the main role and really brought the heroine Katniss Everdeen to life perfectly. Two really good films, not to be missed.

Meisten ist man ja skeptisch, wenn Bücher verfilmt werden, doch ich wurde hier nicht enttäuscht!

I have read all the books and I believe they have done a great job sticking to them in the movie. Jennifer Lawrence is really good as the leading lady and the rest of the cast was well chosen. I highly recommend reading the books as well as seeing the films because you can put faces with the written characters. The filming of the games was very well done as well. Watch and enjoy, good escapism with a solid message that we should all pay attention to because it is not that improbable to be our future.

Une saga grandiose ! de l'action , des cascades & décors futuriste , des frissons , de l'amours , deux volumes à couper le souffle .Impossible de rester insensible .Après avoir regarder , on en gardent des sensations forte .Son est image excellent !

Preso con la paura di vedere il classic teen-movie senza nè capo nè coda, the hunger games si rivela invece molto più profondo di quello che ci si aspetterebbe: il gioco mortale è solo una scusa per prendersi la libertà di analizzare una società profondamente sbagliata e l'importanza di prendere coscienza delle proprie azioni. Certo è un analisi che non viene spinta in maniera approfondita ma non resta neanche banalmente in superficie. Ed il film (sia il primo che il secondo) scorre fluido e veloce al punto tale che fa rimpiangere di non avere già il terzo capitolo a disposizione. La Lawrence è semplicemente un'attrice straordinaria (vale la pena di vederlo in lingua originale, lei è mezzo film se non tutto).Il cofanetto è essenziale (custodia con 2 dvd e copertina che copre tutto come in figura) e lo stesso dicasi della fattura dei dvd. Non eccelle e non sfigura, per fortuna il contenuto è di ottimo livello.
