PersilColor Deep Clean Laundry Detergent Powder 2.52kg - 42 Washes

I'd read about the European powdered versions of Persil laundry detergent, how not only did they come in an easily recycled cardboard box, but that it cleaned even better than the excellent liquid readily found on USA supermarket shelves. I was skeptical, but as I was hoping to find a cleaning product that not only worked well but was not causing some of the terrible proliferation of big plastic jugs in the environment, so I decided to try it. There are two main formulas, one for whites and light colors and one for darker colors. I tried a load of red, orange and pink clothing items in the color formula today... just took the load out and WOW. I wish I'd taken a before and after photo of one particularly hopeless appearing red cotton polo shirt of my husband's, which he'd soiled with who knows what all filth and some blood too, and it had been stuffed in a drawer for at least a month before I found it. I pre-treated the worse spots with a pre-wash enzyme spray and put it in the front load washer with an assortment of other colored items and about a half cup [the instructions give amounts needed for different size loads and soiling levels, in milliliters] There's no measuring cup included, but I found a suitable measuring cup in my pantry which had both ml and oz markings, so measured out about 120 ml/half cup and put it in the dispenser cup and ran a normal cycle with warm not hot water. When the load was done, I pulled out the badly stained red shirt and it was completely clean ! There weren't even faded shadows of the dark unknown stains. Everything in the load of wash was sparkling clean and the colors bright. I'll say it again, WOW. The scent is faint and mild, which I prefer. If you like your clothing smelling like laundry detergents, you may want to add a scented rinse agent.

Love Persil laundry soap, whether liquid, powder or pods, it is amazing the quality and freshness that remains in the laundry for weeks. I just wish it could be like a time in Germany when it did bring a small measuring cup in the box. Nevertheless, a fan of this superb product!

instructions in many languages except English? i understand that this is from Germany, but still. cleans well and smells great.
