Good Test to have in reserve.
I suspected high phosphate was the cause of my sudden growth in velvet algae. This test proved it. But moreso, that our tap water which I was using for water changes was also high in phosphate- so needed to use a phosphate remover. Test has come in very useful.

Good but a bit cumbersome
A good product but a bit cumbersome and time consuming. The next kit I will buy will be strips as they are easy to use and quick.

Easy to use test kit
Use api test kits all the time easy to read results. Used on both my marine and freshwater tanks with no problems.

useless
These are completely useless and would warn anyone against using them. These almost always show at least a 1 phosphate reading even if no phosphates exist I tested this against pure ro water, distilled water and de-ionised water, all of which read correctly with other tests. Regardless of the water type the test always shows the same meaning the test is completely useless for intended purpose

Does it job
I believe it tests right. Ofcourse only got this to test the water so nothing to compare. It comes with a very handy plastic 5ml test tube that got a lid that is attached. Prefer using this one.

Not sure this specific one is accurate.
Used before, many times, biologist, can do chemistry. This says my tank is the same as my tap water, could be seasonal, not convinced.

This is perfect for hobbyist like me that enjoy discreet nutrient supplementation. Makes it fun watching over time the depletion of phosphate. I then experiment with different dosaging of phosphate based not only on quantity added but also seeing what is measured in the water
