Basic coffee pot capable of making a large, hot pot of black goodness that helps me 'get through this thing called life'. I am going all the way (5 star) for this basic drip maker. Obviously you can spend $400 and get a superior machine but in the basic coffee pot category? This one is great. Our last machine was so bad we celebrated when it died. Our last pot went through paper towels and cuss words like they were in competition with each other. Trying to pour from the carafe was a bloody nightmare with coffee dribbling off the pot mid pour. I hated that friggn thing. So did my hubs. This pot is so easy to pour from. It makes NO MESS. This one is easy to pour water into the back. There is no missing the pour area unless maybe you are drunk. (Note: Resulting cup of coffee may vary if/when there is alcohol involved.) It has a standard reusable basket for grounds right in the front that is super easy to clean, etc The auto shut-off works TOO GOOD for all day drinkers. I appreciate the safety feature regardless. It does it's job. I just have to keep turning it on. That is a personal preference that has more to do with my addiction than it does the integrity of the coffee pot. It has a timer so you can have that baby cooking up your first morning pot while you are still drooling on your pillow. Anyways, Good pot, good coffee. I really hope his one lasts longer than the last one. If it doesn't, I will probably look for an upgraded pot with the same carafe. Good luck!

This is the same basic programmable coffee pot B&D has sold for decades. It's replacing an earlier B&D model that works exactly the same and was 13 years old. Programming is easy, especially if you've had earlier versions of this coffee maker. This model does take a bit longer than other models to brew a pot, but that's mainly due to the water delivery system in it, I think. The coffee is worth waiting for, it's got a good taste. It comes out as hot as any drip maker I had too. I can see why other reviews are negative about the design and durability; but they're not right. The previous B&D maker I had was 13 years old and just getting replaced because it was getting old and gross. It feels like cheep plastic and it's light, but the thing is... this is a drip maker. That's what they are. That's why this is inexpensive. It's a workhorse though. 13 years, no problems, used daily. Over all, this is a great coffee maker. Solid design and will last for years. It's got a good size for the kitchen with no large footprint and is easily moved around as needed.

works as design, fast and dependable. I wish I could change the auto-timeoff interval or turn it back on for another 2 hours, but otherwise great and I do not have to worry all day if I turned the coffee machine off...!

It works great. I loved the price. The color is exactly what I wanted. Great product. You can make your brew stronger and preset it for morning.

By far the best one we have had! Very simple to use, would be great for seniors, because it's just one button to push. We got it specifically for my grandpa and he loves it! Makes great coffee and is easy to clean

After a while it stopped keeping the correct time, could reset it, and by the next day it's way off again. If it's a common thing with this model, which I suspect it is, don't expect the 'Brew Later' function to have coffee made in the morning when you wake up, given it can't keep the correct time. Other than that, it can brew coffee. I wasn't expecting the moon at this price anyway, but not keeping time was definitely a first.

We initially purchased the coffee maker in March 2024 and rated it 2 stars because it worked well and then it completely failed within about three months. We're updating the rating and giving it 5 stars because Black & Decker was really great about replacing it for us and the new one has been working exactly as it should for at least a year since then. In the past, we've purchased much pricier coffeemakers, but now that we're retired and far more budget conscious, this coffee maker is perfectly fine -- even for total bougie coffee snobs. Our coffee tastes pretty great! It's a standard 12-cup model, reasonably quiet, the brewing time is reasonable, the coffee stays hot in the pot and we've had no leakage problems or any other issues. This coffeemaker really is a pretty great value for the money.

Works well. Use it to make coffee every morning. It has a timer so you can set it too. Easy to clean. I would recommend it.
