Review: A new challenger - Great fast paced action. I will admit it, the fights are the best part of Dragon Ball for me. The twists and turns are just a distraction to the next fight. I fo also like that in the comic it is not just about strength but a bit of refining techniques/powers. Goku and Vegeta are pussed to their limits against Gas, the current strongest in the universe. They will need to push themselves even beyond their newest limits. Will even that be enough? Then their might even be a new challenge coming everyone's way. Meanwhile, on Earth, boys will be boys, and teens will be teens. It is a great ending to the current story arc and leads straight towards the next arc. Hopefully, it will not be too slow a burn. I am definitely looking forward to seeing what is next. The book finishes with a transformation and character summary. Review: Ok - Good

The end of the Granola arc
This marks the end of the Granola arc and thankfully, it can finally move on. Arguably, this has been the worst part of Super so far and the final volume doesn't help fix the sluggish and repetitive nature this story hasn't been telling. --- Like the Goku Black arc, the story was written into a hole it couldn't get out of so it had to rely on a sudden convenience from, at this point, a tired cameo just to abruptly end the story. Super's biggest flaw is power scaling to the point where it can't figure out how to resolve stories naturally. This created yet another volume of Vegeta and Goku coping with their limits to fight Gas whom has powered up even more, an idea which has been explored already in the previous volumes. The fights become tedious and even Granola, the character who should be front and center of this story, is pushed to the side. There is no more any sense of development or even moving the plot along as it basically ends how it started, with Goku and Vegeta training to reach 'their new height' . Is there really nothing else that Super can do or explore? --- However, the ending begins the new arc on Earth, introducing some fresh new faces and so far, more interesting to read and follow than the story preceding it. It looks to be covering the Super Hero movie, but already it has spent time building up the lore and world surrounding the arc to follow and I will look forward to reading more. It's nice to move away from Goku and Vegeta. --- 2/5. Nice artwork as usual but definitely showing lack of creativity and a story that just fizzles out after having a potentially good start. Very disappointing but a nice breath of fresh air towards the end.
