Ratcheting clamp adjustment
I recently needed to replace the electric fuel pump on my car, so I ordered a set of these hose clamps to pinch-off the fuel lines, while I replaced the pump. They worked great! The clamp has a ratcheting retaining clamp handle, so as you apply clamping pressure it holds as you squeeze the handle. Unlike my ViceGrip style hose clamps that you have to adjust before clamping and readjust until you get the right clamping force, with these, you just squeeze the handles until you are sure the hose is clamped off. They are also reasonably light weight, so they don’t pull themselves off the hose. The fuel pump was successful replaced without any issues of fuel leakage. I’m sure they will also work on automotive vacuum lines and heater hoses. Nice addition to my tool box at a reasonable price.

I bought these on a whim and ended up needing them two days later when a brake chamber started leaking 15 miles from the nearest truck stop. Very good build and quality material. I feel more comfortable using these versus needle nose vice grips because there's less chance of damaging your hose. Definite purchase.

Cheap Bends Easily
Even the largest ones out of the set will bend pretty easily. Used them the block off air lines on an air hose and when tightened down the clamps will shift over to the sides and fold over. Probably ok if your using it for some very thin soft hoses but for anything that may be hard due to age, it wont work too well.

They seem to be of great quality and they work great. I have always used vice grips, but these are much easier to use and release. Glad I have them to add to my tools

Mechanically Sound tools
Good day.I have been using these daily since I received them over the last month. I have found that they are extremely well made and fits very well in my hands. The clamping force is solid and the ratchet lock is extremely durable.I would recommend these for anyone in need of a soft jaw pliers.
