The sound quality of Yamaha NP15 is fantastic ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This is the best quality of keyboard, I have ever owned. Having watched video demos on YouTube to find out how it was likely to sound in a home setting, this was the one for me. I'm covering the features most important to me, when I was deciding on which one to buy.HIGHLY RECCOMEND THIS ITEM. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐The sound quality is incredibleThe lightness of the keys is a definate winner for meThe NP15 has 61 keys, and the listing says thats plenty if you are playing pop music or light classical. The touch sensitivity means I can play really quietly, even without having to put headphones onThere is a port for headphones, so you can also practice quietlyHere is the size (1052 mm x 260 mm x 104 mm) (41-7/16” x 10-1/4” x 4-1/8”)Battery or AC Adapter operatedAC Adapter included in the box (cable length I will list in more info)15 VoicesMIDI connectivity optionLight weightGREAT FOR MY POOR DEXTERITYMy biggest concern was; would the keys themselves be too hard to press down, I haven't got the best dexterity (I can only just about press a light switch, due to hypermobility). The advertising said that wouldn't be an issue. They were right. 👍🏻TOUCH RESPONSIVE KEYS; 🎹This mean that how hard YOU press the key down, will vary the volume that is produced, just like a normal piano.TOUCH SENSITVITY LEVELS: You can choose between soft, medium and hard, for them depending on your style of playing.POWER: Ac addapter is great so you don't have to rely on batteries, if you don't want too. You can get playing, right out of the box.POWER CABLE LENGTH: 1 meter 33cm. As that's not always mentioned and if you don't want to rely on extention cables, it helps to know this, depending on where you plan to put it.MUSIC STAND is included and is great, longer than on some other keyboards to.VOICES15 voices. Not tons like on the other kinds of keyboard but this is definately quality over quantityPIANO; Concert Grand, Mellow Grand, BrightE PIANO: DX E piano, Stage E piano, Vintage pianoORGAN: Organ Principal, Organ Tutti, Jazz OrganHARPSICHORD/VIB: Harpsichord 8', Harpsichord 8' + 4', VibraphoneSTRINGS: Strings, strings pad, synth padIt is also possible to layer the sounds, so you can have the strings as well as the keyboard options play at the same time.DEMOS Check out video streaming sites for at home demos and Yamaha's own website also has previews, of the voices. For me what it lacks in quantity of voices, it more than makes up for in quality.METRONOME Helps you to stay on time and gradually increase your playing speed, once you have fully learn the piece of music you are working onRECORD: You can record and playback your playing too.MIDI connectivity: There is an option for midi connection but that cable is a separate purchase.!! Important information about your choice of stand!!The book recommends Yamaha brand stand, to avoid damaging internal workings inside the keyboard. So not wise to screw a random brand of stand, into this keyboard.Highly recommend this item. The sound quality is incredibleThe lightness of the keys is a definate winner for meThe NP15 has 61 keys, and the listing says thats plenty if you are playing pop music or light classical. The touch sensitivity means I can play really quietly, even without having to put headphones onThere is a port for headphones, so you can also practice quietlyHere is the size (1052 mm x 260 mm x 104 mm) (41-7/16” x 10-1/4” x 4-1/8”)Battery or AC Adapter operatedAC Adapter included in the box15 VoicesThere is an option to use batteries with it, if you prefer.THIS IS NOT A PAID REVIEW. I PURCHASED THE YAMAHA NP15, myself.Available seperately,L2-C foldable stand if you want some thing to be able to travel with.Other accessories are also available. Is it for you?If you want a ton of voices, and backing sounds. Automatic chords, then NOIf you want the rich high quality sound, that really does sound like a piano, a church organ, with all the benefits of an electric keyboard (ie no tuning required, portablitlity) the its a giant YES YES YES.Highly recommend this keyboard for anyone starting out, who doesn't want a million buttons, but does want high quality sounds, and keys that are more accessible, if like me your dexterity isn't great.

A great digital piano for beginners (and maybe a those a bit better than that)
I had a Yamaha EZ220 which was an excellent instrument for a complete novice like me with its light-up keys and inbuilt songs but I was disappointed by the quality of the (392!) voices. I read lots of reviews and the NP-15 (and its predecessor the NP-12 and its big brother the NP-35) consistently got excellent reviews for the sound it produced at this price point. I've not been disappointed. Although there are only 15 voices to my ear these are all very good and true to the instruments they are emulating and for me they cover the range of voices I wanted - piano, electric piano, organ and harpsicord. The ability to record and play back my practice sessions should help me improve my playing and the ability to layer two voices (say piano over strings) will add some depth and variety. With only 2*2.5W driving the speakers the voume isn't very loud (the vibraphone particularly could do with a bit more volume) but it's more than adequate for domestic use but if you want more volume you can spend a bit more and buy the NP-35 with its 2*6W.I would say this is a more basic keyboard than some of its competitors around this price but I think this is more than made up for by both the quality of the voices and the build quality.

Best buy this year
I am retired and have been thinking of trying the piano again (learned as a child and hated it, so not much what I learned stuck), but my son took to it and ever since I have been wanting to learn again. This piano was recommended for its quality by a piano course I am doing online. I didn't want all bells and whistles like some electronic pianos and this Yamaha suited me perfectly. Its tone is lovely, very close to a 'real' piano. I am really enjoying playing and learning on it every day. So, for me, a great buy.

Great for beginners
Bought this as I've always been drawn to piano music and have always wanted to learn to play. The sound is so clear and the keys are easy to press and navigate.Handy headphone socket so I don't disturb the neighbours when I'm practicing too.I've just bought the optional midi cable so I can connect to my phone and use the app to do lessons. I might even pay for a teacher so I can improve further.
