Is the tension of the door ajustable?

Yes, you can remove the side panel and adjust the door spring manually. The door spring tension is correct when the door remains horizontal in the fully opened position. You can also check Page 22 in the user manual for details. Hope it helps.

What is the clearance for the door - i.e. when opened fully, what is the distance from the front of the washing machine to the edge/top of the door?

I think it's different depending on what version you buy. The 10 place is bang on 32 inches.
