Good connectors. Easy to use

Picked up this 200-pack of solder seal connectors because I wanted something quicker than dragging out the full soldering kit for every tiny join, and yeah — these things are a game changer. You just slide one on, twist the wires together, heat it up, and it basically solders and heat-shrinks itself in one go. The little solder ring melts clean, the adhesive grabs tight, and the tubing shrinks down nicely without burning or turning crusty. I tried a few on some car wiring and a couple of LED strips in the shed and they’ve all held solid so far. The waterproofing seems legit — the ends really do seal down around the insulation — so for outdoor or automotive stuff they’re perfect. You just need a decent heat source (heat gun is ideal, lighter works in a pinch but it gets a bit sooty if you’re not careful). The pack has a good mix of sizes too, so you’re not stuck with a mountain of one size you’ll never use. Only thing is once you get used to these, you’ll get lazy and not want to solder anything the old way anymore. If you do any wiring at all — cars, bikes, 12V projects, random repairs — these are ridiculously handy to have around.

Exactly what was required to join wires

These are great, recommend you also purchase a mini hot air gun to use with them. I recently completely re-wired the rear lights and all the indicators on my 24 volt mobility scooter using these. 100% success at first attempt. They solder joint, reinforce and seal (heat shrink) the joint in one, neat, reliable way. Not overly bulky either. Thoroughly recommended, a range of 4 sizes is included.

These are a great idea but I did struggle with the soldering part even though I have the appropriate heat gun and this was on the smaller connectors which in theory should have been easier to complete the task at hand I did eventually get my wiring sorted only time will tell how long the joints will last I used these to extend a car horn adapter plug where the supplied wiring was short I also used heat shrink just to be thorough then I used a suitable cable flexible conduit belt & braces but it’s what I recommend to protect the wiring , I carried out the connections on a work bench then plugged all my cables in the car everything worked fine .
