I keep coming back to Lacuna. It's quick and easy to teach, it's beautiful, and it scales well with player investment. Meaning the more intensely you want to play, the deeper the game goes.This is a great game for two players. Accessible for anyone young-adult to senior.Great value for money, and highly giftable.

Initially, this game looks very simple and it is easy to learn the rules. However, once you figure out what you are doing you can become more strategic in your moves and increase the level of complexity. It's a fast play game and perfect for times when you want to play a game but don't have a lot of time. The game pieces are beautiful and of high quality. I recommend this game to people all the time.

This game is deceptively simple, elegant, fast and fun, and a great conversation starter because of its unusual form factor and setup. I’ve played it with a variety of partners, and while they all enjoy it, it’s always for a different reason from the strategy to just the tactile please of moving the really nice components around. We even tried it as a team vs team game, and it worked very well at encouraging strategy discussions. Highly recommended!

My husband loves board games. We enjoy playing together and sometimes with the kids. I had seen this game and was attracted to it because it is so simple and beautiful. The rules are simple, the gameplay is simple. We play a few games within an hour because it is a really quick game.The pieces, game mat, rules and shaker are all in one easily stored unit. It's neat and does not take up a lot of room.

We tried this newer game in a store as a demo. It was fun and requires thinking several steps in advance. It also is fun for beginners. Online pricing was much cheaper than in store.

I like the packaging for this game, it's easy to pack. Easy for kids to learn the rules and a quick game

Nice geometrical battle for 2 players.

Great 2 person game. Lots of variation so the strategies can change often. Also reasonably quick per round, so you can play a tournament easily.

It is a source of fun for all my family from those in their 70s to those under 10

Das Spiel ist schnell aufgebaut, durch den abnehmbaren Deckel, der eine Öffnung hat fallen die Blumen auf das liebevoll gestaltete tuch, was den Kindern besonders Spaß macht. Die metallischen Pins, hin und her zu heben ist ebenfalls toll, dank der Haptik. In der ersten Phase nimmt man sich ein Pin bildet eine Linie zwischen zwei gleichfarbigen blumen und nimmt sich dann das Paar, liegen alle Pins von beiden Spielern auf dem Tuch, bleiben Blumen übrig,beginnt die zweite Phase. Nun wird geguckt welcher Pin am nähesten zu welchen Blumen steht, die dann dem jeweligen Spieler zugeordnet werden. Am Ende wird geguckt, dass man von jeder Farbe mindestens 4 Blumen gesammelt hat . Hab ich also von Orange 4 Blumen und von Pink 4, habe ich zwei Punkte. Der mit den meisten Punkten gewinnt Lacuna. Am Anfang spielte sich das Spiel locker runter und der zweite Spieler hatte die ersten paar runden gewonnen gehabt, In den Regeln sollte man den ersten Spieler der anfängt eine Blume geben, da er einen kleinen Nachteil hätte. Das fiel uns zwar auch auf, aber nach mehreren Runden, war das bei uns nicht mehr der Fall, weil man dann vorrausschauender spielt und guckt, wenn ich die Blume hier nehme, liegen die hier frei und der andere könnte sie nehmen, also lege ich den in der Linie doch weiter aussen hin anstatt mittig. Es bietet einen kleinen taktischen Aspekt, der aber nie überfordert, sondern ein wirklich entspanntest Spielgefühl gibt. Das ist ein Spiel was man meiner Meinung, nach der Arbeit kurz rausholen kann, Kaffee auf den Tisch und gemütlich unterhalten, während man ein wenig spielt. Und dieses Spiel sehe ich auch bei Oma und Opa, dass man sogar diejenigen damit abholt, die nicht ganz so viel mit Gesellschaftsspielen zu tun haben, mit denen man aber gerne seine Zeit spielerisch verbringen möchte. Daher ist aus meiner Sicht der etwas höhere Preis auch Okay, wenn man so alle an einen Tisch heutzutage bringen kann und miteinander eine tolle Zeit verbringt.

We love this game. My 8 year old picked it up quickly and it’s just beautifully designed. Including the packaging.
