Kaffe Fassett's Pattern Library: an inspiring collection of knitting patterns from one of the most recognized names in contemporary craft and design

I have lots of Kaffe Fasset books and patterns, and this book brings all the designs together in one place. It also adds a few I didn’t have. Lots of colour permutations and inspiration.The photos don’t show entire garments, just the swatch of the pattern, so more useful for an experienced knitter who knows how to put things together.

I love Kaffe Fassett's work, but am not looking for garment patterns as such. That is where this book scores so highly, together with the beautiful designs, both contemporary and traditional, shown in an array of inspirational colours. Unlike some other books, you don't see one garment you like, which was probably on the cover, while those inside are disappointing. The cover is only a taster for the delights inside. And it isn't about making sweaters, although he does give some useful hints on how the charts can be used for your own knitted pieces.The book is a showcase of over 190 of his designs, with the second section of the book devoted to charts for those designs, with little personal notes beside each one with advice on its use. The writing is so down to earth and friendly that you feel almost as though Kaffe Fassett is leading you personally through a design course! I wish! None of those irritating and pretentious 'mission statements', or anything about knitting being the new yoga!The designs themselves - what can I say? Stunning. Wonderful. If you want your socks blown off, buy this book. With the heavy discount offered by Amazon, it is well worth the money, probably more. Beautifully printed on good quality glossy paper, you may well be payng a lot more for it in a few years time. Get it now!!

This book is written for creative people who can knit. In it, Kaffe Fassett provides readers with the most wonderful designs to incorporate and use to make our own designs and much much more... Brilliant and recommendable book!

Amazing, inspirational book. Complete with charts...Not for the beginner, but even if you are not an experienced knitter, this book will inspire you. Kaffe's use of design and colour is awesome. The book is beautifully illustrated and contains close-up photos of the stitch work. Would definitely recommend this book. Awe

Another brilliant design book from Kaffe Fassett & his team. All wannabe designers should read it. For those who love Fassett designs there's plenty of material and inspiration here. Thoroughly recommend.

I started knitting the year before Kaffe’s first book came out and was only obsessed with learning stitches. Seeing what he was doing with color in that first book changed my life (I knitted hours each day), my perceptions of color, and taught me how to use my environment as inspiration. It’s as though I learned to see everything a different way.What I love about this book is that it distills and catalogs the motifs incorporated in his books. In addition to photos, there are charts Lovely!.

Les motifs en eux mêmes sont beaux mais pas extraordinaires. Ce qui fait vraiment la différence, ce sont les conseils pour harmoniser les couleurs et faire ressortir ces motifs. Kaffe Fassett est un génie des couleurs!J'ai déjà de nombreux dictionnaires de motifs pour le jacquard, je suis une tricoteuse expérimentée, mais j'ai appris beaucoup par cet ouvrage. Je le recommande vivement pour les amoureux de jacquard et de fair Isle.
