Moleskine 13 x 21 cm Large Size Art Collection Sketch Album, Notebook for Drawings and Sketches Hard Cover Paper Suitable for Pens, Pencils and Charcoal, Colour Black, 88 Pages

I ordered this item though I could find only a very limited product.description. It is typical Moleskin, size 14x9cm bound on the short side with a flexible card cover with a little pocket in the inside back cover. Each of the 72 120gsm (81 lb) pages in perforated close to the fold. It states it is suitable for pencils, pastels,charcoal, fountain pen and markers, though I would treat the latter with some caution as seepage through to the next page might occur. I would expect it to take light watercolours too, though again seepage through could occur. It is easily slipped into pocket or handbag and so is very easy to carry around for those off-the-cuff sketches just using a ball point pen. It’s probably a good idea to secure it closed with a rubber band.

This was exactly what my wife wanted; a pocket-sized book with blank, high quality paper and perforations which allow individual pages to be removed. In addition, the way you're able to easily open to a page and for it not to 'spring' closed, is a big bonus. It's good quality, the feel of the material on the cover is pleasant to touch and it has useful pockets inside the back cover. My wife is quickly filling it with drawins using her Copic markers and it doesn't tend to bleed through.

I ordered this sketch book for the first time and I am very satisfied. It doesn't have a hard cover like the one I ordered for watercolor pocket book, but it is perfect for my purpose: very lightweight and flexible, easy to carry in my pocket. I carry the book during commute to work or travel at the weekend. I do quick sketches in the train or waiting for the train. It doesn't bleed with ink. I once applied a bit watercolor wash and to my surprise it works fine. So later on I always used light watercolor on my sketch. It cannot sustain with much water and I usually applied only one thin layer of watercolor, but for a sketch book this is good enough.

I got this as a gift for my father for Father's Day as he's a professional artist and so often he goes out on trips, only to wish he had a sketchbook with him. He now keeps this in his pocket--it's a really ideal size--so he can make sketches on the go (provided he's remembered a pencil!). He really likes it.

I was expecting it to have a hard cover as the other Moleskine drawing books I have, and that was a bit disappointing.i will have to come up with a solution for this.otherwise very nice product.

Moleskine make some great sketchbooks, the quality of the paper is ideal for my style of art, and can take a lot of ink without any bleeding through to the pages below.

This is my favourite for sketching as the paper is 120gm which is really hard to find. Also the square format makes it easy to carry around and skeetch on even though it does not have a hard cover. This is my absolute favourite!

The size is very personal and connects you to the content after some time & it's perfect to fit into your pocket. I've tried a few watercolour washes but unfortunately the paper becomes grainy and displays dots all over the wash. It's absolutely perfect for pencil, pen and ink. The quality of the paper is very good and smooth. Very happy with the purchase!
