Does the job
Pretty basic tool but for the money it saves a lot of time from having to make one. It works OK and I'd rather devote my time using it rather than making it.

Good for what it is advertised
Five star for what it is. Not meant to put on the grinder, but I filed out quite a few guard shoulders before going ahead and upgrading to a carbide one😂. But for someone who is not using it on the grinder, it is an excellent product.

Slim with powerful hold.
They are good, but over time bumping your 36 grit belt against them over and over takes a small toll on them. (Small lines and dings) But nothing you can't fix. The hold incredibly well. And give accuracy to your plunge lines once you get the hang of it.

I can not express how pleasantly surprised i am by this file guide. I thought for sure I was going to destroy it instantly, but it works AMAZING!!! The paint, or powder coating...whatever...that is on it comes off instantly, but the file guide is in tact. At this price, even if you burn through one a year, you're laughing. I will buy another to have as a back up. If you're a blade maker considering buying this, because of the price...DO IT! it's already paid for itself using it for one day.

It is made of non-hardened steel and can be damaged with files or sandpaper right away. Useless for almost any work.
