Good Lights, Wish I Could Select Brightness
6" Round Slim Panel LightPros: These lights are super easy to install. There is a template included to make the right sized hole for installation. Wiring is easy with included wire nuts. Spring clamps hold the light in place to drywall or similar board. The lights don't pull a lot of power so they are easy to wire several in sequence.Cons: All of the lights that I have purchased in the past have 2 things that these do not.1) Brightness selector switch. Not a deal breaker but it would be nice to have a choice to choose level of brightness.2) Wago connectors. So much easier connecting wires over your head to Wago connectors than wire nuts. Again, not a big deal but maybe just preference.Construction seems solid and uniform.I took one star away for the cons.

Thin light, very bright
Easier to install than regular can or surface mount lights, just cut a hole, connect the box, plug in the light, hold spring-loaded wings together, and stick it in the hole. adjustable color temperature, super thin.

Great little light
The lights were not installed completely, they were simply connected to existing can fixtures so that we could check out both products. We are going with the black trim because it matches the new decor better and I like the cooler light for the bathroom. If I was doing a different room in the house, I would prefer the warmer light. This light (on the right and with the more yellow light and white trim) was purchased for me to see if I ended up with just a small spot of light, or light for a larger general area and also to compare the 3000k warm light of this product against the 4000k cool white light with the black trim. This light is 1100 lumens while the black trim is 1000 lumens, so not much difference in definition, but the cooler shade of light makes the lower-valued one seem brighter. This light can be dimmed, but unless we end up permanently installing it in a different room where we want the dimmer functionality, I can't review that part of it.In the landscape picture, the dimensions are a bit distorted, but it still shows how bright both of these lights are and how well the light spreads. From an installation standpoint, my husband said that it was easy enough, but with how the box is designed as an extra piece instead of connected to the light fixture itself, the installation was a little more complicated. The separate rather than integrated box is clearly displayed in the first photo on the product page.

Only One Limitation - But it Makes them the Most Affordable Option
We've been installing recessed lighting in our home, plus other homes of family members on our land. So far we've tried about six different brands of lighting. All at a very wide variety of prices. And all with a variety of features available. Here's the breakdown in what you're getting (and not getting) if you go with these lights. They're canless, easy to set up (especially if you're doing a new light setup from scratch and have to cut new holes). The light quality is good. They're LED, so they'll use less electricity than the old fashioned recessed lights that rely on traditional bulbs (and will last much longer). They're also dimmable. The trade-off, and the reason why they cost so much less than most of the other recessed lighting we've been using, comes down to the "temperature" of the lights. Some of the recessed lights we've used from luxrite or other brands have have a toggle switch that lets you choose between 2700k and 5000k (sometimes up to 6000k) light "temperature." 5000k being white daylight, 2700k being a soft, "warm" light for a more cozy ambiance. We tend to set the switches to 5000k for places like the kitchen, maximum brightness. But 2700k if we want a more "comfy" atmosphere, like the bedroom or living room. With these lights, there's no toggle switch to choose from one of five different temps. You basically pick the level of brightness you want in advance, and that's what you get for all lights within that set. These are 3000k, so these will be your "warm" lights for that cozy atmosphere with soft lighting (that you can also dim further). But in a nutshell, that's mostly why these are so much more affordable than the other lights we've been using. If you know exactly what temperature of light you need for a particular project, then it wouldn't hurt to go with these. If you want the ability to toggle the brightness during installation, then choose another type of light. But this is a good bang-for-your-buck set of lights if you happen to know what temperature of lighting you're going for.

Good upgrade
I've used several brands of these recessed lights and this one was one of the nicest. It was easy to install, and there were no funky issues with the wiring or boxes. Really easy upgrade for any home and the warm white is a nice contrast in my home.
