Best floating cleaner for small tanks!
This little magnet is super strong. I cleaned my kids' small tank--all the sides--and I had no problems with it falling off. I even had to tug on it a bit to get it to move, but I only need 1 or 2 passes to clean the glass. It is convenient that it floats as well, don't have to bother with a wet, messy string if it ever does fall off the side.I definitely recommend the Mag-Float small for anyone with a 10 gallon tank or smaller. The one I received is light blue and my kids loved the color.

Great for upkeep and the lazy fish owner
Works amazingly well! Our 10 gallon tank is pretty much neglected when it comes to cleaning. This product made the glass crystal clear again and my 5 year old used it himself. The tank was so dirty that there was originally floaty algae after use but the filter quickly cleaned it out.

Little powerhouse of a magnet!
At 2.25" x 1.25", this magnet is perfect for small tanks. I use it in my 5 gal freshwater acrylic tank, and it does a good job of scrubbing the algae off without leaving any scratches behind. You can leave these on/in the tank all the time, but I have 2 inquisitive little kids who like to play with magnets, so in between cleanings, I take the magnets off and store them on a shelf. These magnets are VERY strong, which is great because you can vigorously scrub with them and they won't lose contact with each other -- and if they do, they float, so there's no need to reach down into the tank to retrieve the fallen piece! -- but if you put them together outside of the tank, they will want to snap together ferociously, and woe is you if your finger pads happen to be in the way. So keep them away from kids!Bottom line: If you need to get a magnetic cleaner for your fish tank, the Mag Float is the way to go because the magnets are strong, well-made, they float, and come in a nice compact size. I expect that I will not need to replace mine for as long as I have my tank, which makes it well worth the price.

Felt will break down and may result in scratched glass
Purchased this product in September of this year. I use it approximately once a week on my tank. Within 3 months, the felt side (outside) started to breakdown during use and resulted in large visible scratches on my tank. The reason for 2 stars and not 1 star is that it did work well when I did use it.Use caution to inspect before every use.

Perfect for 10 gallon tank.
I have a 10 gallon tank and this is the *perfect* size. As advertised, the magnet does float to the surface when it becomes disconnected. If you are coordinated enough and know how to maneuver these around corners, the float is not light enough to go floating off. When it does float off it is very easy to get to come back without getting your hands in the tank. I have a glass tank and have no experienced any scratching as some of the other reviews suggest. This definitely beats going elbow deep in a tank! Plus, with this size I can store it in the tank. I slide it behind the bubbler, so I never have to remove it.

Not suitable
I have received the product a week ago and tested it to remove algae growth from my tanks. Sadly, this product is not up to the task - even minor growth will not be scraped off. You have to apply multiple 'treatments' just to discover that there is still plenty of algae left on the glass. The magnet is also not very strong,as a consequence, the two parts of the scraper disconnect easily. Total waste of money, I will go back to using razor blades.
