This stuff is kind of pricey but definitely helps keep the smell of my kitty’s litter box under control. I used to get litter that had activated charcoal already in it but I can no longer find it. I was using regular litter and noticed the difference immediately. I just sprinkle some on top and mix it in when I put new litter in. I completely empty and clean her box 1x week in the summer and 1x every 2 weeks in the cooler months and of course scoop her presents out periodically in between. When I scoop I usually add some kitty litter on top and a bit of the charcoal too and she does her business it gets mixed in that way I’m not mixing up older stuff with it. Works like a charm! You could also use it other places that have odors like a little sachet at the bottom of your trash can or in your shoes, a bathroom that doesn’t have good ventilation I have charcoal inserts for my shoes and it says you can leave them in the sun and uv rays helps the smells and bacteria clear out and can reuse them so if you make little sachets you could try to reuse them after the sun for places other than the litter box too!

I add this to my cat litter box. It makes a difference. Doesn’t smell.

I have a cat with IBS, and when he uses the litter box, everyone in the house knows it. I didn't think anything would actually work tame that smell, but this seems to have done the trick! It's only been a couple days, but so far, I'm extremely impressed.

Though the product is as described, it potency as an odor absorber is significantly over stated

I purchased this coir charcoal granules to make my own filters of 2 aquariums and a pet auto waterer. i hope to save $ over time. the only thing that is a problem is the granules are a finer texture than regular charcoal but that should not effect the performance. Their is enough in the size I got to last over 8-12 months. I also bought some sponge material at same time to make the bags or filters.
