There are a lot of Bluetooth speakers on the market, in various sizes and most importantly in varying quality. Does this one stand out from the crowd? Yes and no.Probably the biggest difference to the average is the wooden design. This is more than just cosmetics as it's a well-known fact that speakers mounted in wooden boxes give a much better sound. In this world of plastic, it's so nice to see wood being used and it looks great. No point using wood though if the speaker driver is not up to the job. I'm glad to say in this case it is. It's a 3" driver with a good range of cone movement which enables it push out the bass frequencies giving a good overall range.The functions it offers are pretty standard, nowadays. The inclusion of an FM radio is a nice extra. It features an auto-scan which will preset all stations found for future use. The lack of any display makes it a little difficult to know what station you are listening to. The Bluetooth function works as expected. I had no problems pairing it with a variety of sources. Some devices insist on a code but the usual '0000' works fine.On top of Bluetooth there is also a memory card reader. It can take a TF or microSD card and play any mp3 files it finds on it. Like many of these devices it can be tricky getting it to read some cards. If you get a problem, reformat the card to FAT32 and do a full format and it should work after that. At least it did for me. Once a card is inserted it can be set to play and you can skip tracks as you require.The final function of this speaker is it can take direct audio connection. It has a 3.5mm jack socket for connection to any form of audio signals. It simply operates as a powered speaker.At £35.99, as at the time of writing, I feel it's at the top of the budget. However, the quality of manufacture and the quality of sound makes it acceptable.I hope you found my review helpful.

I guess, technically it's wood, but clearly it's made of chip-board/MDF or similar with a plastic veneer; it's not solid wood, which was a big disappointment.Sound wise it's not hi-fi, but to be fair it's not bad. What would you expect from a single driver that's only about 70mm in diameter?So, three stars? The electronics work, it's got a nice carry case and it will certainly do what I want it to, which is provide a small sound monitor for my amplifier design experiments. For this price point I was expecting it to be wood, however, and not be paying a premium for vinyl clad MDF.

There is a great sound from these speakers however the quality of build is lacking. The charging point where you insert the cable comes loose and pushes in to the casing. This results in poor contact therefore can’t re-charge!! Furthermore, I have written to their so called ‘support line’ at their email address, disappointingly no response after ten days! I am trying to make contact but may have to complain through Amazon.

Worked fine for two days. And then suddenly stopped. No reason. Tried all the pressing of buttons but not a dickie bird. Disputing since there sound is gift and the feel is nice. I'll try another one in case it's just bad luck. But I see someone else had same experience

Yes purchased 2 speakers they're good nice and loud but i was unable to link the pair together but ok if want to listen in the garden

Very poor quality off connections, have bought two both broke after charging once. Sound ok but volume too loud on low

I would've given this 5 stars as it is a quality wee speaker,only gripe I have with it is it speaks in Chinese and I dont,so I just have to assume what it says and hope for the best when it comes to working out the functions.
