KNOW YOUR PET DNA IS CORRUPT - THEY OWE ME- ZERO STARS WOULD BE TOO MUCH
YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT AncestryDNA Know Your Pet DNA has been sold to another company, so if you did like I did and bought this product anytime within the last several months and failed to get it in the mail postmarked March 21st(I may be off a day or two), then THE NEW COMPANY that’s taken over WILL NOT HONOR YOUR SAMPLE, so you’ve just burned nearly $100 for ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. I HIGHLY recommend finding another company that will do you right. Well, before you go off thinking you know it all, understand this: After my December purchase I fell bed-ridden ill (I am a cancer “survivor” that falls gravely ill from the simplest little germs, so there I was for several months, incapacitated. When I finally had the energy and mental ability to do this specimen and send it off, I was met with a message saying that due to the company takover, I had until like March 21st to get registered. Well, that didn’t happen and there was no email or other forwarning, just a big gaseous fartoff when I tried to register. I find this unacceptable. DO NOT TRUST ORGANIZATIONS LIKE THIS. Spend your $80 elsewhere.

I felt my results were accurate
I was totally skeptical. When i submitted this they want me to make a profile and submit pics and specs on my dog but i left it blank bc i didn’t trust they might use the info to get dog breeds that matched his appearance(I’ve heard people say their results have been way weird like a chihuahua for their German shepherd) but my results seem pretty accurate to what my dog is. I’m impressed i was told by the first owner he was heavy German shepherd and husky and those were both up there! I think this was great

My fur baby’s dna
Purchased a chihuahua from a pet rescue. The mother was definitely a chihuahua but he looked nothing like a chihuahua. These dna tests make it easy to identify the different breeds that combine to make up my new baby.

Simple to use.
I wanted to know the breeds of my dogs and these tests were on sale during prime days. I got 2 tests. I got both tests back in less that 6 weeks. One of the results were received the day I had to put my dog down. That was hard. But it was fun looking at the trailer for both of the dogs. I do wish that a test just for breed was offered. I was never interested in all the other results as I did not find them that accurate.

Completely Inaccurate and Horrible Support
I ordered this originally because I adopted a cute Terrier mix 6 years ago and just wanted to see what breeds she is mixed with. From others who have seen my dog, they think she is mixed with Terrier, Yorkie, and possibly a bit of Dachshund. I came across this test and since it was from AncestryDNA, I thought it would be accurate. Well... I was competely wrong. After going through the test and sending it off, about a month later, I got the notification that the results were ready. The first display on the dashboard said my dog was half wolf, half Husky lol. I reached out to support by email, as there wasn't a customer support phone number, and that took a few days to get a response. They mentioned some generic email about their tests not being completely accurate and still in early stages, meaning they need more dog DNA to get more accuracy. But a follow up email mentioned the results had been updated. Well... it said my dog was 100% Dachshund. So I continued to reach out to support, thinking maybe the test I sent in was faulty or mixed up. I was hoping I could get a new test, but I was getting responses once a week, which was awful. They also never directly addressed the inaccuracies, circling around potential reasons it shows these results. Logging into the dashboard now, it seems the results have changed again to 62% Dachshund, 38% Chihuahua. TLDR: I would stay away from this test and try a test elsewhere or save your money. I've attached pictures of the current results (3rd time changing), and a photo of my dog for reference.
