PowerDash Pet+ Compact Carpet Cleaner Machine, Lightweight Carpet Shampooer Machine, Pair with a Hoover Carpet Cleaner Solution for a Bright, Refreshed Home

I have mostly hardwood in my house, but a few area rugs and one carpeted room that see a lot of foot (and paw) traffic. Rather than renting those giant carpet cleaners, I decided to try this Hoover PowerDash Pet+ for convenience. It’s compact and lightweight – I’d say it’s about the size of a small vacuum cleaner, and I can carry it upstairs with one hand no problem. Don’t let the small size fool you though, this thing packs a punch on stains. Assembly out of the box took literally two minutes (just slide the handle on). I filled the clean water tank with the included cleaning solution (nice that they give you a starter bottle) and warm water, and went to town on an old pet stain that had been haunting my rug. In a couple of slow passes, the stain was visibly lifting. By the third pass, it was completely gone. I was actually kind of shocked – I didn’t expect professional-level results, but the carpet looked good as new (and the dirty water I dumped out was a murky gray, eww!). Using the PowerDash is straightforward and user-friendly. It’s basically like using an upright vacuum: you press a pedal to release the handle, another to turn it on, and there’s a trigger in the handle that sprays the cleaning solution as you push it forward. I do a forward pass with spray, then pull back slowly without spraying to suck up the dirty water. It’s satisfying to see the nozzle slurp up the mess. And despite the “Pet” branding, this machine isn’t just for pet accidents – it’s equally great for spilled drinks, general grime, and refreshing high-traffic areas. I’ve since used it on a hallway runner and the amount of dirt it pulled was simultaneously disgusting and gratifying. A few more notes: the PowerDash has a very compact design, which means the clean and dirty water tanks are smaller than full-size cleaners. I did have to refill and empty a couple of times for a larger 12x12 rug. But honestly, I don’t mind because the smaller size makes it easy to store in my closet and easy to maneuver around. It also has a removable nozzle piece up front, which you can rinse out and clear of hair/debris after you’re done – that’s a big plus for maintenance. The carpets come out just slightly damp and typically dry within a few hours (I usually run a fan or keep windows open). Noise-wise, it’s about as loud as a regular vacuum – not quiet, but not jackhammer level either. Given its size, I was impressed that it has a decent brush roll that really agitates the carpet fibers, and strong suction to pull the water back out. The result is a clean carpet that’s not soaked. My living room rug actually fluffed up after cleaning, looking refreshed. For deep-set old stains you might need a pretreatment, but so far I haven’t met a fresh stain this cleaner couldn’t handle. Overall, the Hoover PowerDash Pet+ is now my go-to gadget for keeping rugs and carpets tidy. It’s ideal for small spaces, quick cleanups, and periodic freshening of your carpets. If you have pets, kids, or a clumsy coffee habit (I tick two of those boxes), you’ll love the convenience. No more renting bulky machines or paying professionals for every little spill – this little powerhouse has me covered. It’s honestly one of those home appliances that I didn’t know I needed, but now I wonder how I lived without it. Two thumbs up!

This is by far the best carpet cleaner I have ever owned. Over the years I have owned large and small carpet cleaners, but this one is perfect! It is lightweight, but does the job of a bigger machine. Easy to move around, holds enough water to easily do a good size room and no leaks or soap bubble floating around. Finally someone made a machine that is easy to clean!! The dirty water container is easy to remove with no spillage, and can be cleaned easily to get any pieces of dirt/hair out of it. The cover over the brushes is removable for cleaning, as well as the brushes. No longer having dirt stick inside, you can reach and clean everything! My carpets look so beautiful, soft and smell great! I highly recommend this carpet cleaner!

This thing works well for the size and cost! The photos show the before and after of a discolored spot under my keyboard where one of my cats loves to lay. I sprayed some Nature’s Miracle bio-enzymatic carpet shampoo ahead of time and let it sit for a couple minutes while I assembled this carpet cleaner, and then went over the floor with just water in the machine. I went over the spot twice, and it picked the discoloration right up. This machine was super easy to assemble, is pretty easy to pull apart for cleaning, and super easy to actually clean the dirty water tank- way, way, way easier than the Bissell carpet cleaner I had before this. The top of the dirty water tank comes off so you can get all up in there to clean it out, you can take off the top of the suction part on the front off to rinse out, and then there’s a plastic flap over the roller you can flip back to clean out as well so everything is easy to access for cleaning it. I just bought it today so I can’t speak to its long term function or its overall longevity, but so far I’m very pleased with it!

This little guy works pretty well. It’s not the most amazing one you’ll find but for an average household, it’s great. Putting it together was easy and starting it each time is easy too. It’s simple to use and leaves the carpet drier than handheld ones I’ve used. It’s also pretty powerful for something so small and lightweight — it gets up dog urine stains for me. Some cons are: pet hair will get into the hard to clean spots if there’s a lot of it, even if you vacuum first. It’s small, so if you’re doing a whole room, you’ll have to fill it more than once.

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!! My home has hard wood floors but I have several large rugs. I have two large breed dogs that like to lay and roll around on my rugs, so I was looking for a carpet cleaner that did a good job without costing me a fortune! This one does just the job! Cleans all the stains out of the rugs, it’s light weight and easy to move, and the rugs dry quickly without leaving my hard wood floor underneath wet! Definitely worth my purchase! It was also super easy to put together!

I love the bright colors red and white, it's compact, very easy to use, cleans great, and I did my rug in less than 30 minutes, but my favorite part is how it comes apart to clean every part of it. Wow! My old machine whould have gunk in the crevices that I couldn't remove. I love this machine!!

Pour de grandes surfaces il va falloir remplir le bac d'eau à quelques reprises, mais ce n'est rien de compliqué. Je recommande grandement ce nettoyeur de tapis.

I highly recommend this rug cleaner. Easy to use. Light weight. And even removed old stubborn carpet stains. I wish I had taken before and after pictures. This is the best carpet cleaner I have ever owned.

With two dogs and the occasional spill or accident this is the perfect compact carpet cleaner. Easy to use and does a great job. Wish it had a bigger resevoir for cleaning solution and dirty water but then it wouldn't be so lightweight and convenient to use.
