I bought this so I could get a better look at my bevel and apex when sharpening knives. It's taken a little while - but after playing with it for a while - it's clearly very versatile. I bought the microscope and stand - but after trying to get the stand to work for what I'm doing - I've found it easier to just hold it against the subject by hand. That way the focus point is always the same and the light is always perfect. And I can simply rotate the device around the subject to get it at different angles and it works great. I haven't figured out the zoom feature - if it even has it. It's not obvious if you can zoom in and out somehow. But that doesn't matter to me because whatever zoom it's at is perfect for what I'm doing. The dial on the microscope does a good job allowing you to focus on what you need to be looking at. Then you can take pictures with it which are copied to your photo album on your tablet or phone. I use my tablet and downloading the app was easy. Lots of power for the money. Very cool to have around if you have any need for something like this. And you never know. Tonight - I stripped out a torx head screw but it was too small and deep to see the damage with the naked eye. I got this out - plugged it into my tablet - pressed the nose right up on the screwhead and looked at the details of the damage. I took some pictures and sent them to my friends to show them what an idiot I am. Sometimes you need something that will do that. If I happen to stumble upon a zoom feature and figure it out - I'll go back out here and edit my comments. But I'm happy with what I have now.

I like it a lot. It is a lot of fun. So far, I only plugged it in to see if I will keep it. I took a picture of my hair. It was not the highest magnification. I tried the highest magnification too. It did work. But it takes more care to take a picture. I only include one picture with not the highest magnification. Connecting it and setting it up with my phone was a breath. Just for grins and giggles I connected it to my old phone, which I don't use for my banking any longer. It is amazing to me that it works so well for basically, a very affordable price. I am definitely keeping it.

The zoom level is very strong, which is great for fine details, but sometimes it’s hard to orient yourself when moving the microscope since there’s no set way to hold it. After a little practice, it became easier to handle.

Very cool and easy to use. My wife loves this thing. Only issue is will lead you down a rabbit hole of using it on everything. Will truly geek you out.

Great image quality and plug and play capability is helpful. Its pretty straightforward...point, focus, shoot....easy, easy. Does Not Include A Stand! Make sure you select the right items...I had to buy a stand, separate from this microscope. I highly recommend that you have a stand, especially if you have hand shakes. Easily fits in a small compartment of an Electronics Bag so, its extremely portable. Ive got a Samsung Galaxy S24 FE and it was plug and play, right out of the box. Looks just like the old camera, but it doesn't work like the old one did! It doesn't come with a stand like the old one did, and doesn't work on desktop machines, not even Mac, just like the old one did. Any even more annoyingly, when you do try to use it on a mobile device, you are prompted to download some unknown random app from China just to make it work. Absolute nonstarter.

Great Product

Requires app. App has questionable terms of service you have to agree to. Taking a picture has a very long delay and a loud 'click' noise. You cannot disable the noise. You need a stand or mount to use this, no one has hands that can hold this without it being shaky. Dust cover could have been designed to hold items at best distance, but that's not really a problem. I got a clear image. Does as advertised. Would rate higher if I could remove shutter noise. Would rate higher if app worked without terms.
