These definitely help lessen the pain in my thumbs and wrists. I love that they are waterproof and lightweight and very stretchy. They can even go under my super sturdy braces when I need extra support. The biggest surprise is that they are incredibly helpful! Wearing them enables me to play the piano without my normal throbbing. I can get them on without powder, as they suggest, but it is MUCH easier with powder - any is fine - talc may be cheapest. I started using Boswelia powder because I have it in bulk and it is really good for inflammation and pain. (If you suffer from arthritis and not just an injury I highly recommend looking it up.)My only regret about these is I know they won't last forever. I'm being careful and so far I've been able to put them on and take them off dozens of times. Hope they last, but if they don't, for the price and their effectiveness, I am definitely purchasing another pair - before these are warn out. No, I wasn't paid to write this review. ;-)

These braces are nice, and I ordered them because they're waterproof. I'm a barista and I wash my hands constantly. These held up nicely, until they didn't. It was about ten days of wear before they ripped. These stain really easily. The thumb part closest to the inside of my hand wore down really quickly and is a weird, very thing texture. I would wear these again, but only if they lasted longer/were more durable

These helped support and immobilize my thumb/wrist joint enough to provide pain relief, so I used them frequently. However, they ripped at the ventilation holes after pulling them and off for two weeks. Next time I will order the ones without holes.

I don’t notice any additional support from these. Some compression, maybe. They feel uncomfortably tight after a short period of time, and I even have quite small hands and wrists. They also stained very quickly.

Loved this so much I reordered it. The doctor-issued brace did not enable me to do many daily activities, such as rinse dishes, etc. as it restricted movement and could not get wet. Glad I gave this product a try. It provides support while enabling me to use the computer and do many daily activities. I'd have given it five stars except after a couple of months of use, they do tend to tear, but it is that material that also makes it so pliant and comfortable, so I'd rather just reorder as needed, and they do send you two, which is great.

The facts: Very comfortable, easy to get on and off, helps tremendously with wrist-strain. Yes it does get dirty looking and after a few weeks washing doesn't do much to remove the stains. Will survive going through the wash (but it may have contributed to the tears, I'll never know)My first purchase (pictured) had the holes in the wrist part which was nice for ventilation. They did start to tear after about a month of daily wear. Once the tears started I think they lasted about a week before coming apart completely.My second purchase, from the same listing, didn't include the holes and was an even creepier colour, but they have lasted a lot longer. (June-Sept+)Storytime: I needed a non-bulky brace for drawing, and I considered this design because it's one of the few that doesn't have material going across the palm of your hand. I hesitated for a while because I knew the creepy apricot colour was going to look super dingy and gross really fast. However, there was nothing even close to this same design in black (or any other colour) so I took a chance. I was very pleasantly surprised at how effective these were at relieving the strain on my wrist. They did get dingy and gross looking (think well-loved baby-doll at a thrift store) after about a week or two of daily wearing. My first purchase was in April, and I needed a replacement set by June. However, since using these on a regular basis, I haven't had to wear them as often. (Lifting weights also really helps with my wrist pain). This second set is still going strong. Really pleased with the product, but a non-creepy colour would be greatly appreciated.

I bought this from Amazon for the arthritis in my thumb. It worked well for a few days. I thought I had found help. the I started to put it on and the whole side split out of it. I won't be ordering another one.

They don't fir very well. Are loose on your hand.
