Perfect couch guitar
Beautiful little guitar! Great sound for something so small. Very playable and NOT just a “beginners guitar” It sounds and plays better than my Taylor GS mini and with solid wood it will only get better with time unlike the laminated guitars.. Yamaha is known for their constant quality.

Great all-around guitar.
Just awesome. High quality. Beautiful tones. Perfect action. Perfect size and sound. I sold 2 others acoustics (including an Epiphone master built) to buy this. And no regrets. Best sounding / playing guitar I have owned. And I am a big guy. 6-2, 200 lbs +. And this is still a great fit / more fun to play than my larger - sized guitars. Yamaha is a great company. Everything they make is top notch.

Came with a cheap off brand gig bag
Item was listed as used/very good by Amazon Resale. Description stated "Looks and functions as if it were new. Item may not come in original packaging." The guitar does indeed look very good, but a gig bag is NOT what I would consider to be packaging - that would be the box!!!! The original gigbag is of very good quality. The gigbag that I received is poor quality and not even the right size for the guitar! The description was inaccurate and (intentionally?) misleading. It would have been easy for them to state that the item did not come with the original gigbag in the description - Amazon Resale CHOSE TO LIE in their description. The Amazon Resale FAQ section states that "missing accesories are listed in the item description". Apparently that is not true.

My honest opinion...
This review is for the solid wood CSF3M, vintage color. I bought this as used like new. No issues. Was in new condition. Possitives: -Good, clear tone... Nice highs and mids, lows just a little subdued. -Excellent sustain. -Handles hard strumming very well, yielding good clean volume. -Good finger picking tone and resonance. -Nice smaller size. Comfortable for sitting or reclining. Smaller women (my adult daughter) can play comfortably. -Has a good feel to the neck /fretboard. -Tuning pegs are OK. Smooth enough and don't slip. Nothing fancy. -The pickup works well. Very nice sound when amplified. No on board adjustments but good clean sound. Negatives: -Not the best looking guitar in the world, especially for the price point! I realize this is a matter of personal opinion, but the vintage spruce top is just too orange! -The white lines in the edge banding also don't match the color scheme. Doesn't look like it belongs. -Headstock and tuners could have been a little dressier to look like a $650 guitar. -The guitar definitely needed a setup. The strings were way too high at the nut. I did this myself so no big deal. But other buyers might not be able tackle these kind of adjustments. Well those are my observations and opinions. I do like the guitar and enjoy playing it. Maybe should have bought black, but for $450 I am happy with my purchase. On another note, my daughter loves and said she'll take it off my hands!

Best guitar purchase in many years!
So glad I made this purchase. I have wanted a parlor guitar for a few years. I did a lot of research and read all the reviews. I really don't like to buy a guitar without playing it but I couldn't hold out any longer. I could not be happier. Great guitar in every way. Looks, plays and sounds wonderful. Very big sound for a small body guitar. Clear and precise with excellent play ability. Will be gigging with it soon. If you're looking for a parlor, you need to check these out.

Great gift for intermediate guitar player
I got this as an early Xmas gift for my kid and he loves it! It is his first acoustic guitar since he started with an electric one. This Yamaha model was a bit smaller compared to the electric one we had (PRS SE Standard 24), and it is much lighter which is much easier for my son to play when standing up. And most importantly, it sounds GREAT! It is also well crafted and looks elegant, so highly recommended.

I’ve been playing an electric acoustic tagima for almost 6 years now and felt like It was finally time for an upgrade. I’m a fingerstyle player so I thought why not invest in a parlor at last! This little beast has everything I’ve been wanting: compact parlor size, all solid build and as consequence, a HIGH quality sound. I 100% recommended this to intermediate/advanced players who are more likely to enjoy fingerpicking melodies and such. It also comes with a very well built gig bag! I couldn’t be more happy for this to be first yamaha and second acoustic guitar to acquire. :)
