This is for my Siberian Husky so it's a tad snug but it still works fine. It's very stable and safe, allowing me to do things like grooming and treating ear problems. It would very difficult if not impossible for my dog to remove it. No other muzzle I've used has been this safe or strong. Wish I'd have ordered it years ago!

for working with and training our dog this was a bad idea. we found something way better and the dog is much happier for it.

I recently rescued a fully grown Cane Corso Italian Mastiff from a high kill shelter in Philadelphia. She was hit by a car and quite traumatized, but she is only 2 years old or so, so still a puppy. With zero manners. Due to her trauma and her horrible experience at the shelter (she was barely treated for 5 days there and completely shut down, as well as was fear biting), she cannot be crated. She loses her mind in a crate, becomes insane and will injure herself or break the crate, whichever comes first. But she is still a puppy, with minor separation anxiety, so she is a chewer. And she chews things that we handle the most, so it got pretty expensive. So, we decided to “crate her mouth” and she mostly does not mind the muzzle. She is only 95 lbs, but needed the XL size due to the mastiff head shape and abundant jowls. It fits well and she can both eat and drink with it on. She is also quite determined and has stolen and eaten a whole bag of Tastycake mini donuts with it on.However, every once in a while, she decides she wants it off. I wish the leather straps were reinforced because they tear easily under her assault. One also tore at the vet while we were trying to get her paw wrapped (she had lost a lot of skin when she was hit by the car). We end up doing a lot of strap retrofitting. Usually putting a small screw through one torn side of the strap through to the other and then holding it in place with a small bolt on the other side, then cutting off the excess screw flat to the bolt. Still, this is not normal and had the leather been thicker or reinforced, would not be needed. We have repaired the leather 3 times and have a spare muzzle on hand for when this one gives out.

I'm really sorry to give this one star. My vet suggested a muzzle that I could feed my dog treats through, to keep the experience less stressful for him. But what I got looked like something out of Silence of the Lambs. I'm sure it's just fine for some people...or pets...but it's really just not for me. I can say it was well made, arrived on time, and I felt reasonably priced. I did return it for full refund and they were super nice about it. I went and got a soft one with the velcro instead. Appreciate the kind understanding on the part of the seller, so thank you!

It works and seems comfortable for my dog. He leaves it on. I had to get a small size that I originally ordered.

Works well. Sturdy and well made, but makes my dog look like he's Hannibal Lecter. Not a good look. Scares others.But, it works and fits well and stays securely on my dog. Does its job.

Barely lasted 2 minutes on our Airedale Terrior.
