Accidentally Became a Superhero. Would Still Recommend.
I took Thorne Berberine expecting, you know… some gut support, maybe lower cholesterol, regular human stuff.What I got?Superpowers.By Day 3, I was walking past the fridge and felt it get intimidated.By Day 5, I sneezed and my neighbor’s WiFi reset.And by Day 7?I walked directly through a wall.Not metaphorically.Literally.Drywall, paint, some poorly placed family photos — I emerged unscathed and slightly confused in the garage.My LDL is down.My GI tract is operating like a NASA launch schedule.And I’m fairly certain I can now hear bacteria having conversations.Side effects include:• Unshakable confidence• Sudden mastery of spreadsheets• Having to explain to your HOA why you phase-shifted through the mailbox againAnyway, five stars.Just be careful — this stuff doesn’t fix you… it upgrades you.

Works maybe too well
I lost about 10-12lb in a month and my goal was not to lose weight. I bought this to lower my A1c which is did. In that same time frame my A1c went from 6.3 to 5.8. I did lose some muscle/strength in that time but this does what is says it does at very high level.

Order was safe and on time and always get a quality product w Thorne. Thorne is one of my go to brands as they always deliver a solid product.

My recommendation
The best brand of this product for me personally. I’ve tried other brands that did not work at all for the intended purpose. I’m completely satisfied that this brand is well worth the investment. If you are seeking to use Berberine to improve and impact your health and wellness, I would highly recommend Thorne brand.

My experience so far
I can’t honestly say that I’ ve noticed a difference in my blood sugar or energy level after 30 days of 1 capsule twice a day so I started a second bottle 3 days ago. It may be helpful with reducing my caloric intake.

Changed formulation without notice. Poor product. Sneaky tactic.
DIFFERENT,LOW QUALITY, BIOENGINEERED FORMULATIONThis is not the same formulation. This is no longer a natural product. The active ingredient (barberry root) has been cut by more than half and replaced by phytoestrogens; high omega 6 fillers; and a diluted, opaque, commodified, and bioengineered phantom product far from actual barberry.First I noticed the color of the pill on this reorder was different. Then I noticed that I didn’t feel the immediate effect. (I have been taking this for the last few years. I use it moderately and it’s been highly effective.) That’s when I compared bottles and realized this was an entirely different formulation. (See pics: original excellent high potency extract formulation is on left; what you get now is on the right).DANGEROUS LACK OF TRANSPARENCYI ordered this from my recurring order history. That means this was not posted on Amazon as the new product that it actually is. They slid it in the former product’s slot as if it were always this way. This means the new lesser formulation gets the high rating of the prior, and it also means people like me on reorder get something different *without warning*. Deceptive and dangerous.ACTION ITEMSI do not appreciate the lack of transparency nor the poorer quality product. This WILL be returned. Thorne has lost a loyal long-standing customer.And I have suggested to Amazon that they do the right thing and discontinue the old product record and clarify that this is a different product altogether! If you’re reading this, I suggest you do the same.UPDATEAmazon refunded me without issue. They are pretty good with that and no complaints there. The product listing however has not been updated and a glance of other online suppliers & recent reviews shows the same issue. I conclude then it is Thorne pushing a revised product w/o notice even to the distributors.If you are reading this and also dissatisfied by the inferior product and shady lack of transparency, I suggest you also insist on refund for this product. Money talks. Amazon & Thorne will listen when it hurts their bottom line.
