Perfect mushroom hole puncher but...
This item is perfect in terms of mushroom hole puncher. The mushroom head is large enough and my inserts don't get stuck. I tried many other ones and the paper was getting stuck at some point. The only negative side of this puncher is that to be able to see the back of the paper, I had to take off the metal plate that also recuperate the chunks. I didn't use the plastic guides they provide because the manuals are not user friendly at all and there are no online videos showing you how to use them. It is why I had to temporarily take off that plate. It is fortunate for me that I don't have hundreds of inserts to make otherwise i would spend too much time to make even 10 inserts! It is to use occasionally only. I wish the company made it for A6 binders or Franklin Covey Compact binders with the 6 rings. They seem not to exist anywhere and if they do, I doubt the mushroom holes would be as perfect as this particular tool. It is expensive compare to the competitors but at least, their hole is perfect for my purpose. It is a keep-it unless one that makes the exact same size of holes comes out at a much lower price before the return window expires.

Good but not happy planner compatible
While still pretty close, it still is not QUITE as deep as the official happy planner hole punch. It's easy to use and the ruler for spacing for hp mini & other discbound systems is really helpful, my only complaint is that is that because you can't change the depth, it makes turning pages still a bit tight.

Not heavy duty
I do not recommend this for punching plastic covers as it states in the description. The tool broke half way through the second cover. I made certain the plastic was no thicker than what is recommended in the description. Too expensive to have failed so quickly.
