We have a very stubborn, very distractable Belgian Malinois/German Shepherd dog. She has a very one track mind, and it's hard to break her focus when she's zoned in and there's a negative distraction, making it impossible to train, even when her favorite treats are involved or when she's leashed. We needed something that would get her attention so that she could even have the opportunity to learn. This collar is GREAT. We didn't even have to use the shock setting for weeks, because just the vibration and the beep mixed with positive reinforcement was enough to get her attention. When we did finally use the shock setting on level 1 (when she jumped up on someone and ended up hurting them), it was mild enough that it surprised her and she didn't love it but did not hurt her. I know for certain it did not hurt her, because she is VERY vocal and dramatic when it comes to pain or discomfort. This collar has been a great learning tool for her, which I believe will lead to more freedom for her and far less concern on our parts that she will get hurt from not recalling or ingesting something she shouldn't, and I highly recommend it.

When I got the collar, I tried out the electric shock at a very low setting (like 3 or 4 out of 99) on my own hand, and it was not joke. When I started using the collar with my dog, she responded well to the tone and the vibration, but she gave no indication that she felt the shock at all. She didn't give me many reasons to apply the shock, usually the tone was enough to interrupt any incipient mischief, but over several days I slowly increased the shock setting. Had I not tested it on my own skin, I would have suspected that the shock function didn't work. I made sure the contacts were connecting with her skin, but the shock seemed to have no effect on her whatsoever until I dialed it up to 66 percent. At that point, it was enough to get her attention. I should mention that she's half lab, and they're known for ignoring strong tugs on the leash. Apparently they have a high tolerance for electricity as well. At least mine does.Again, even without the shock, the sound and vibration improved her compliance with commands when we are outside and she knows I can't catch her.

El alcance del control remoto es impresionante, y el hecho de que sea impermeable y recargable lo hace muy conveniente.La verdad es que sí lo necesitábamos y sí funciona. Ha sido una excelente herramienta para empezar a entrenar con más firmeza, pero con amor.Lo recomiendo totalmente a quienes tienen perritos inquietos como el nuestro. 🐾💛

I used this collar on my GSP - we had it just 1 year and it stopped working. He did well in the beginning however as he got older and became used to the collar, it did not seem to phase him.The battery life was wonderful!However I wish the collar itself was made with a more waterproof material. My GSP loves the water; we have a small baby pool for him to cool off in and he only went in once with the collar (as I forgot it was on him) and the smell the collar now has just has not gone away. I’ve tried cleaning the fabric collar multiple times without luck.I am truly sad it no longer works… I’ve tried all the troubleshooting tips I can find but the collar seems to charge however it won’t turn on.

Love my e-collar. With three different ways for correction and various settings for intensity, it make it way easy to correct my dog. I give a command and if she does not co.e, I use the tone..two beeps. Most of the time that is all that it takes for her to co.e running ro me, but occasionally I have to buzz her with the vibrate when she does not co.e after the tone and the second d command. I have only had to shock her twice o e the first week I had it and she got out of the yard and o ce when she would not co.e as she was barking g at a deer on the other side if the fence. Shiloh is a pit bull mix so the breed van be stu born, but she just want to please me and is super sweet. If she has the collar on she usually co.e on command only and I will just to e her and she will co.e running ..great poduct.Why did you pick this product vs others?:Price and recieews
