Walsall - Spare Pneumatic Wheel for Multi-Purpose Wheelbarrow

I bought 2 of these wheels for my son and I as we both had wheelbarrows with punctures. He had topsoil to move from his front drive to the rear garden, Mostly paving and grass and where there was gravel we put planks down so not difficult terrain . My wheel stood up to the task, but my sons wheel failed as you can see from the attached photo.I thought I was buying a quality product one that would last for years. Very disappointed.

I have an old wheelbarrow that has been languishing by the side of my house for years with the tyre perished. I had need a wheelbarrow for a garden landscaping project - so I decided to try and fix the old barrow, rather than buy a new one. Saw this wheel on Amazon for a very reasonable price and purchased it. The wheel itself is good quality, however the existing axle on my barrow was not compatible and this wheel did not come with one. Now it never said it did (hence still 5*) and I should have checked the axle dimensions but a quick purchase of a suitable axle on eBay and this wheel was ready for fitting. I used the barrow this weekend, probably lugged around 1.5 tonnes of assorted soil and gravel and the wheel worked perfectly. Much cheaper than a new barrow - very happy.

One morning I found my wheelbarrow (Walsall) tyre was flat. I discovered a small linear split, about 1.5mm long, in the inner tube. Although there was no evidence of any penetration of the tyre I assumed it was caused by a thorn so I repaired the leak. About 5 minutes after I inflated the tyre again (to 1 bar, half the max. pressure) I heard a loud whoosh as the tyre rapidly delated again. I examined the inner tube again and discovered that it had split for a second time, this time a larger 2mm split along the edge of the repair patch. Clearly the inner tube is very poor quality. Result: one unusable wheelbarrow.

I've been renovating a house for what seems like a million years now. At least that's what my better 3/4 keeps reminding me...And as such I have two wheelbarrows of fast becoming vintage provenance. And there lies a problem because I get attached to tools that have stood up to my abuse and as such feel the need to keep them going.My barrow is a case in point. It's a bit old and a bit battered but when I exploded the well sun damaged tyre when I put air into it, I couldn't quite get rid of the old girl. So I had a look and bought this.Almost as cheap as the tyre and inner tube but already fitted onto a wheel. It even came fairly well inflated which, was a bit of a surprise.So five minutes after getting this my ever faithful old wheel barrow was back in action delivering cement to where it was needed. I think it might almost be a case of 'Triggers Broom,' but hey, it's still going....

Purchased as a replacement for the original wheel. It fits in seconds and is very hard wearing. The tire wears away until the bonding to the inner wheel fails. Saying that, it has a tough life in a busy livery yard.As for value for money goes it’s fairly priced and I foresee it being replaced in the future. This is not a criticism as it has a tough life, but as a garden wheelbarrow it will last years...in the livery yard..6 months.

Rubbish, flat after one use on soft ground. Couldn't find any reason for flat, it just was. Very disappointing and boring as had to order another one, from a different company, wait and then go through the palaver of fitting again. On the up side, it was easy to send back and refund.

What a great service ! My old wheelbarrow wheel was perished and flat , then the next day a new wheel arrives .Fast efficient service , and cheaper than a repair would cost ! I highly recommend this quick service and good quality product .

First wheel literally exploded (plastic hub and it shredded the tyre) whilst on the wheelbarrow and in the sun and was pressurised to 15 bar! See what the replacement does, not confident though especially as I could not contact the manufacturers (no phoneline number working) to discuss possible major defect!
