Limited success so far, smaller than I thought
My nephew has been recently diagnosed and is mainly non verbal. As anyone who has close proximity to autism knows - it's a label for such a broad range of behaviours that no 2 autistic kids are the same. When this arrived, though it matches the measurements shown on the advert, I don't believe it matches the photos for size comparison. However it does mean that it will easily fit on a small desk, bedside cabinet or small table easily. The quality of the chart and cards is fairly decent but 'some assembly required' as you need to attach all the velcro pads to all the cards before use.As yet, though these cards are being used to show a routine and to try and establish a pictorial response for food/drink/toilet etc it has not established a miracle breakthrough for communication. It is early days yet though and every step forward is hard fought and celebrated. At £12.99 I can't advise this set based on our results, but then nothing was guaranteed. However we haven't given up and for this price we could get a breakthrough without any notice - then all of a sudden it is worth 10 times the price. It's certainly worth a go - so for anyone with a young autistic family member this could be a perfect aide for you.

Good board
I like this board a lot, as it has a lot of different pieces you can use that makes it applicable to your child. I also like how simple and universal a lot of the graphics are too which aids their understanding. The main thing I liked however was that the sticky parts on the back needed to be attached individually, which was perfect because it allowed me to make and add some of my own graphics to the board. It allows you to structure your child's day and provide a visual aid for them to cope, which is fantastic for me and my girl.

Great For Children
This is a fantastic little product for young children both neurotypical and neurodiverse. It's a great visual aid and table for structuring the day, especially if your child is routine orientated. The board can be hung up or folded into a triangle shape and there's plenty of cards (70) and very interactive. Children can choose what they want to do and have a say over how their day is structured which is important. It's also nicely made and the cards and board are sturdy and durable. One issue: There are a few iffy cards like "auditorium" - I mean why not use words like 'music' or 'rhyme time', something a young child would understand better? Still, they can be swapped out or you can put a sticker over them perhaps.A good product otherwise.

Useful SEN tool
As a TA, I work with a variety of children who thrive on routine and like knowing what their day at school is going to look like. This visual timetable has been really handy to help manage this. It's versatile in that it can be hung or propped on a desk. The Velcro is a good quality and not flimsy, so the icons stick securely. There are a lot that we won't use in our setting, but we can easily laminate some of our own and tailor it for what we want. Those using it at home may not have the option to laminate and so a handful of blank icons where you could add your own details would be a handy addition.
