PT-C Integral Stepless Circular Cutter

I’m a scale modeler and bought this device to cut circles for paint masks on wheel hubs, engine inlets, etc. I found it to be well made and there are detailed instructions printed on the outside of the storage box. I “played” with the unit and made nice circles on paper, 3M blue painters tape and 3M frosted transparent tape. I deviated from the instructions a little. I set the radius first, then placed the unit on the paper and rotated the device a few turns, then I added pressure to the knife and rotated again, I continued this process until I could feel the friction of the knife on the paper, then added about another quarter of a turn and the circle separated from the paper. Nice clean cut out! Misses: The radius settings are stamped in the clear plastic and difficult to read, so getting an exact mm measurement is difficult if your trying to get a precisely sized circle (which is what I’m trying to achieve most of the time). So there is some trial and error until I zero in on the size. If you’re just cutting circles for crafts you can skip the trial and error and get good results from the first cut. The size adjustment is a little sticky to move, but I think it will smooth out once it’s broken in. Once the radius is set and locked the unit will continue to cut out identical circles. Overall I am happy with the product.

it is great product and works any tape. or paper. but bit is only one, and it shows extra bit with other product number. i was try to find the bit but i could not find. i would like to order for extra...just incase i broke it

I like is good for me.

I used this to cut circles in plastic film. It works fine but the depth of cut is a bit variable due to the fact that the needle-like cutter floats up and down. Due to its design, I can see what I'm cutting, which is crucial when I'm cutting out transparency pictures. It works reasonably well, so I'm giving it 4/5.

This circle cutter works amazingly well and is fairly priced! I read somewhere not to spend the extra money on the metal version and I think I agree. The plastic one feels solid, spins very easily and works like a charm. The instructions are a bit vague but fairly easy to figure it out. It only comes with one cutting blade, I’m gonna need more soon. I would have paid more if they included more than one cutting blade. Replacements were hard to find with none to be found on Amazon.
