Great little kit! The tools feel sturdy and are metal and the caps are easy to install and feel good (they are plastic). Push open and closed well. So many colour options and loads of each. Really good for crafting projects.

Great little item. Came with illustrated instructions which were very easy to follow and included maintenance instructions. Lots of snaps in many colours with a storage tray and a tool kit including awl, tweezers, spare parts in a handy container.

I bought these as they were cheap. 400+ sets of snaps for less than £10. This is about 2.5p per snap, half the price of KAM snaps and much cheaper than buttons! They are compatible with KAM pliers but not with other KAM snaps as they are not quite the same size stud/socket fitting (they end up very tight or loose depending which way round you match them). They are easy to fix to fabric and work well but compared with KAM snaps they are vastly inferior. They are made from plastic (rather than resin), have 'pips' on the edges of the plastic and are more see-through too so they just don't look as professional. Saying that, unless you've used KAM snaps you might not notice any difference. I'm not sure how well they will stand up to wash/wear but they do look fairly robust and fixed without issues. For cheaper items like cable tidies, bibs or dolls clothing these will work well. I probably wouldn't recommend them for jackets, reusable nappies/diapers or anything that needs a quality finish. I photographed the Ilauke snaps (left) and the KAM snaps (right) together. You can't see a vast difference between them but KAM snaps are more opaque, slightly bigger, and have small raised grip dots on the back of the stud which prevents it shifting. The colour selection is good. You can see from the picture I used the pale blue for my project but I used a Navy KAM snap for the top fastening (which needed a longer prong to go through the layers). On the whole these look good, work well but are not the quality I would usually work with.

I BOUGHT THESE AS i needed them .I FOUND READING OTHER PEOPLES REVIEWS REALLY HELPFUL. one person wrote don't squeeze the tool too hard. When I have used a different type in the past I SQUEEZED TOO HARD AND THEN THEY Broke. I made a key case just with the poppers and all they need is a gentle squeeze and they work perfectly. However this is a great piece of lit. Not only do you get the tool to apply the poppers but an awl for the hole making , screwdriver, forceps , plus spare bits for the tool just in case. The set is comprehensive besides the metal tool for applying the poppers.There is a small screwdriver, forceps for picking up the poppers. spare bits for the tool. what is lovely the tool comes ready made which is helpful. Also provided is a storage box for the tool and screwdriver etc. Plus another storage box for all the poppers supplied. Each bag if poppers has the instructions on how to use printed on the back. The bags all contain individual colours with a wide range of colours from bright orange to black, white ,yellow etc. I found this really handy and very easy to use. Very glad that I bought it.

I purchased these snaps in the hope that they would be sturdy and I was not disappointed. Over the years I have bought several tools to fit poppers or eyelets and they are always a bit hit and miss. This tool however is so simple to use and the instructions in the leaflet are easy to follow. I made several cable tidies out of faux leather with a snap fastener each end which was strong and looked brilliant. I doubt I will run out of snaps any time soon as there were loads of lovely colours. Also worth mentioning is that the tool comes with an awl, screwdriver, pegs, tweezers, a box for the snaps and spare fittings. Good value for money.

I love this kit, there so many colours, the tools are good quality and the box really handy. However I am having a huge problem fitting the snaps. No matter how I do it they simply don’t fasten. I always seem to have a little nub of plastic which prevents them the stud locking into the socket. Has anyone else had this problem or am I just missing something? Any help or advice would be much appreciated as the instructions aren’t as comprehensive as I’d like. I am using the tool the same way for fitting the cap and socket as I do for the cap and stud, so am just at a loss. Hope someone can advise me please. Thank you.
