I checked in with him periodically over 2 months, and he was still busy using it for his own mapping etc, and wasn't ready to give it back to me. Well... he's done 12 maps, shares his fantasies with his younger brother and tells me he "really loves" geography now, and know the capitals of all the "real world map" countries. I think this is a stellar review from a young lad.

Amazing book! I highly recommend it to anyone interested in mapping. Excellent illustrations. Bought more than one as gifts.

I am an artist and always wanted to learn about map making....especially fantasy ones....this is a pretty good book for the price. Has step by step instruction...geared towards about teenager to adult. I like it.
