Thank goodness I don't have to put that up again. I replaced 20 led ceiling lights no trouble but this light was a nightmare. The ceiling bracket is far too thin and weak which is a problem as it flexes when you hang the light fitting to it. If you slightly over tighten the screws you will bend the bracket and the light will not hang snug to the ceiling. The much cheaper BHS light it replaced had much better fixing - basically it was secured by screws - but this one has 2 slots on each side that you push past the screws sticking out the ends of the bracket and holds by turning the light fitting by 5 mm. The wiring connector inside the unit is also cheap rubbish - smallest grub screws ever, no room for any excess wire, so glad I had a spare (much better) uk one from my BHS light. So now it is up - what is the light like. Well it is bright and white of course -36 watts led is like having 6 light bulbs - so great for my purpose - I needed a light I could read by. But how annoying is the flicker when it starts? I saw that in other reviews but I thought it was a simple delay. No the thing flickers on! For £50 quid I would say ok but for nearer £80 - there must be better constructed and higher quality alternatives. After all it is just 3 led strips stuck on plastic looking like a fancy TV aerial mounted on the ceiling. Please don't start me on the cotton gloves. All I can say is that is hope your child can wire UK to EU above the heads holding a light fitting and screw driver - as the gloves would not fit an elf. For goodness sake - the only reason they are provided is because the way the light is held up (with only a 5mm turn to take it down) - you have to be really careful with wiping off your smudges from the shiny plastic after it is 'up'. I used wet wipes and towel which worked a treat.

Recommend you go to a shop and see the difference between the two different colour temperatures.Update:20 months on we still love these lights and almost everybody who sees them pass compliments. They have transformed the living and dining rooms

I purchased five of these lights and fitted them myself, I love they are dimmable and are easy to control, I would recommend ditching the connector provided and using plastic block connectors that are more able to accommodate more wires for loop ceiling rose wiring and have larger screws to the connections can be stronger. There is plenty of room inside the fitting to house the larger connectors and saves a lot of time faffing about. My friends love these lights and one just asked me to get him one. I used this dimmer with it as it is remote control and works really well. Really like these lights. The warm white version is very stylish and really sets off the room. Brightness is great and option to dim (with a trailing edge dimmer switch) works really well.Annoying no-one seems to offer a dimmable version of a wall light that matches this style. The closest match I could find is the HARPER LIVING Halo light - https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07VYM142P - however this doesn't have a dimmable option, at least not out of the box.You can however swap out the transformer in that light with the Knightsbridge W350DA one - https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B076QHQ5HJ - pretty much as a drop in replacement and convert those non-dimmable wall lights into a dimmable version. BONUS !!

As others have mentioned, extremely bright led light that pierces into every nook and cranny.I've put mine in a hallway, and it's a huge improvement both in light output and colour on the one that I had in there before (older LED tech).I personally went for the 'warm white' 3000k option and whilst it's perhaps not as warm as I was anticipating, it's perfectly acceptable. I wouldn't want to go any cooler (ie the 4000k model) for most rooms though as I think it would make a room look rather stark.Negatives - not many! There's a tiny flicker when the light turns on, but once it's on the light is stable and (so far) reliable.For the price though, if you're looking for a modern looking, extremely bright ceiling light, you can't do much better imo.

Really impressed with the light, easily enough light to illuminate a medium size bedroom and appears very good quality Only received and fitted it today. I had also ordered a Varilight V pro dimmer as recommended but it still does not turn the LED’s off fully. I have now ordered a Varilight Glowfix which I hope will sort the problem but this was an additional £15 I hadn’t expected to have to spend. Would have been 5 stars other than the dimmer issue

I replaced a ceiling fan light and a dining room pull down unit with these and cannot believe the difference they have made. Quite easy to install, a bracket is screwed to the ceiling, and then the lamp sort of bayonets to it. Very bright but dimmable if required. The only criticism I have is that the base has a flange around it which serves no purpose and looks out of place (if you know it's there). Very pleased with these.
