Worked as expected, very helpful in picking up sheet steel, and not having to use chokers or slings. But one has to keep in mind the magnet is in center of gravity point on load.

This is a handy tool for moving heavy objects in metal fabrication. The magnet works very good!!!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Work great but I would never recommend driving with this around on a forklift without a strap around the bottom when the momentum rips the steel plate off the magnet. So far what I noticed is that it holds great with thicker steel like 1/4 and 3/8 sheets. Anything thinner is sketchy.

Seemed big enough to do what I do. Moved one good piece of plate steel. Needed it move an empty 40” x 48” weather guard rat pack. Wouldn’t even budge it from the ground. Try several times and jest keeps popping it off. I jest us it now to hold parts it place while I hand grind them down.

It's a strong magnet, and stronger with thicker steel. I don't like the fact that when releasing the magnet from the metal the lever almost broke my wrist, since I was unaware that the release is hard & fast. Once I figured out how best to hold the handle on release it was OK. Nothing was stated/warned about the rapid handle release movement in the Chinese instruction manual which is written in 'Chinglish'. I understood maybe half of what the instructions said. Do you know what aggrandizement means? The chinaman who wrote the manual used that word but can't make sense with proper common words.

Well made and well packaged. I’ve used it to pick a 4’x4’ sheet of 3/8 plate so far and it did the job.

Works ok for medium sized plate. Will not hold thin plate. I would recommend getting 2 its very hard to center it with just 1 which results in the plate tipping and the magnet will slide.

This is a very powerful magnet. I have used this to lift and drag steel beams . Best place to put this magnet is on the flanges of beams ( put it in the web to separate beams but it can lift the beam below). Make sure you place it on a flat surface, the thicker the material the better the magnetism . Don't place on the side and make sure there is no chance of bounce from travelling over ground if the material is close to magnet limit. The handle to 'switch' the magnet on is easy to use , but there is a limit to height of flanges if you place it on the web, hence place magnet on flanges of beams

I stick these onto the side of ships and tie our work boat to them. Allows me to tie up anywhere to preform various jobs and repairs. They have no problem holding us in position even when there is wind and waves. These work well.
