Joico K-PAK Clarifying Shampoo - 300 ml

I have used this shampoo for many years, specifically for after swimming, which I do twice a week. It is excellent at removing chlorine and styling product build up, without affecting my highlights. The shampoo leaves my hair clean and shiny. (I do wear a hat to protect my coloured hair from chlorine too). The big bottle is excellent value and can be easily dispensed using the pump to a smaller container for taking to the pool.

I have suffered itchy scalp for a couple of years and my son recommended I try this shampoo to remove an build up of old hair products that may be causing it. I have used it 3 times so far and can honestly say it seems to be working so far. My hair feels softer and cleaner than has ever felt Seems to stay cleaner longer too, I wash my hair every 3rd day usually and still do but could go longer now. It is a bit more expensive than my normal shampoo but it is well worth it.

This shampoo saves my hair from the chlorine bashing I inflict upon it three times a week. Smells gorgeous. Luxurious lather. Works like a dream. Cannot fault.

good product. I've bought it for after-pool washing, to get rid of the pool water chemicals. It works. + did help with washing out the chlorine + made my hair look and feel healthy + feels posh when just pour on to hands - not the very restoring shampoo - I had better ones; working better on my hair - a bit stronger smell, then I prefer (I like odourless or natural perfumes) - pricy

I absolutely love this shampoo. Recommended by my hairdressers and im now on my second bottle. Great for product build up and brilliant for teenage hormonal hair.

Bought for our holiday incase of high chlorine levels in the pools. I’ve tried it already and so far it’s nice stuff.

Good shampoo. Need quite a bit to get lather but like all Joico shampoos leaves hair clean and silky.

Low porosity type 1B untreated hair that gets greasy within 3 days, and damaged if you overwash. My hairdresser used to use this and it still leaves my hair with the best volume and isn't overdrying for a clarifying product. Edit: Had this on subscription but had to remove it due to inconsistent pricing. Also it doesn't come with the pump which may not matter for yourself but if you have poor hand or wrist strength this is a very big bottle.

I have hard water (not from a well) and after years of dyeing my blonde hair various dark colors from black to burgundy to brown I decided to go back to my natural shade - permanent hair dye for years has to be bleached out or grown out and I chose a combination of both. As you can probably imagine, that caused a fair bit of damage to my hair. Anyone who has had their hair highlighted or done all-over blonde knows it takes bleach and/or a high-lift formula, and that hard water or chlorine adds unattractive brass or green tones to the hair. Most of the solutions dry out the hair themselves, leaving strands feeling like straw, and yet another product or two has to be added on to the routine to fix that. A clarifying shampoo should NOT be used as your regular shampoo no matter how much conditioner you plan to use afterwards, but as far as clarifying hair products go this is less drying than others I've tried. I try to avoid washing my hair every day, and use this maybe once every two weeks depending on how my hair feels and brassiness level - sometimes the water that comes out of the tap has a higher mineral content sometimes less. Purple toning products are great and all, but they aren't designed or intended for daily use unless the person is genuinely aiming for consistently grey/silver hair not trying to eliminate brassiness in blonde. TLDR: Joico is widely available and a quality brand (in my experience), this clarifying shampoo works well to remove product buildup and hard water mineral buildup but as with all clarifying products should not be used as a regular shampoo due to their tendency to be very drying.

Bought this shampoo initially for my kids who are swimmers, it was recommended by my hairstylist to keep their hair healthy after swimming. I found that it works wonders on their chlorine damaged hair. So I started using it once a week to get the buildup out of my hair and I love it. I can't use it by itself, it dries my hair out, but I follow with the Joico reconstructor conditioner. And my hair is wonderfully soft.
