Really solid refurbished drive for a decent price
I dont know if i got lucky with a refurbished drive or what. But so far this HDD is great. Its pretty quiet and i transfered data onto it that took about 8 hours there was so much and it chugged along like a champ. No issues at all and it was a great price as well. 12 tb for around 100 bucks is not bad at all. If you need an extra storage drive id definitely use these. Im not positive but i think these MDD drives are made by western digital and ive been using WD for years and they last forever basically. Ive had seagate drives that fail randomly and they seem to be a lot more finicky than WD drives. thats my personal experience and it may vary for you. But thats just been my experience. Really love the drive very happy, if i need another hdd might reorder this

This drive works perfect and is in like new condition
These drives that Amazon sells are well worth the money, to date I purchased four of them and they all work flawlessly and for a great price.

A decent, inexpensive option for a home NAS backup, NOT to be considerd for use as a primary HDD.
I've been using a 12TB model for the past couple of months as a simple, weekly RSYNC target for my home NAS server running three 6TB WD-REDs in a RAID5 configuration as the source (about 12TBs total capacity).Once a week, the HDD spins up, does about 12 minutes of syncing new and/or modified files on my NAS and then spins down. For this purpose, it's working just fine. But the HDD is noisier than the WD Red HDDs and the RSYNC takes place around 3AM in my basement, so the noise doesn't impact me in the least. And, it seems to do just fine for this activity.Yes, the RAID5 has redundancy, but that is NOT a backup. If you just need some dumb, cheap, bulk storage, this could be your ticket.

Nice drives and a tip if it's noisy
I bought two drives for video storage and backup. One worked flawlessly. The other was very slow, very noisy. A 3TB backup test took about 3.5 hours on the first drive. The same test took over 12 hours on the second. I was about to return it, so I used the free version of diskwipe to clear the drive. But after I wiped the drive, it ran and sounded just like the first drive with a 3.5 hour backup time, so I'm keeping it.

Oh my!!!! Best BANG for the BUCKS!
Standard packaging only so no double boxing for the unit. The outer box has been retaped which was expected for discounted units. The anti static bag was still intact. Did not include any mounting hardware/screws at all so did have to cannibalize an old PC for them. You need to find Disk Management to do the initial partitioning else Windows won't see it. No biggie, old school stuffs. Used the latest GPT format then NTFS afterwards. I had Windows Pro so did Bitlocker while at it. Ran CrystalDIskInfo and lo and behold... it's a virgin drive, see screenshot. It's fairly quiet with the distinct bird pecking on window sounds from the stepper motor, not really bad compared to MFM or SCSI drives of old... And I have a very quiet home office. Internal SATA transfer is only about 120 MB/s and the external SATA inbound is about 80 MB/s. Oh well, such is life with 7,200 RPM drives. If you have a need for one, no better time than the present to get it. Cheers.

They work as new.
Received promptly and in the correct type of packaging for HDDs. The test software shows them with 1 or 2 power on states. They look and run as new. Would buy again for my NAS.

Works well No Issues
First off it appears to be a Seagate Exos drive, at least that is what the 'Seatools' shows, In any case no hours or starts showing and transfer speeds are pretty good, not listed as renewed so don't have an answer but it comes with a 5 year warranty and about half the price, I waited a week before I reviewed it and also moved about 4Tb of transfers to this drive, no issues or abnormal noise and low temps 31c. I will update if I run into any problem so I would buy more as needed.

Reliability and Great Service
Multiple purchases and ZERO problems. IF you are a NAS user, the NAS Drives seem to work better in them.
