Really good place to start
I like the layout, it's really easy to find the information you need. It's a good way to start thinking about the materials used in products. I do wish it had information on a broader selection of materials. Otherwise it is a really nice, well designed reference book that I would recommend.

One of the most useful books I have come across, it is a pick up and put down book and every time it is used it made me question both materials and process

Doesnt do what it says on the tin
Materials, products and production yes. Sustainable no. Beware if you're looking for a guide to sustainable Materials, this is not it. More a basic guide on the processes used to extrude plastics and refine metals etc.

Three Stars
Good information, but repetitive if you purchased the Manufacture processes from the same author.

the book covers a very comprehensive range of materials, processes and prodcution techniques, it is a great guide. The book is worth the price by far, I only wish the case studies were a bit longer than a mere single paragraph, a bit more in depth unique case studies could have been a 5 stars for me. But, thanks to this book/guide, in one single book one have access about the different spectrum available out there, one can go and research further a specific one for more in depth information. Can anybody recommend a serie of monster books for product designers to use as their bibles? Thanks for reading
