Good quality, authentic. doesn't hang on everything when you try it on.HOWEVER, for the price you need to be prepared for the difficult task of washing off the oil. It is either a cosmoline or woolswax base that by design is hard to get off. It is excellent protection for overseas shipping, but very hard to remove.I have dealt with this oil for years. You have to put the item in a ziplock back with pure ammonia for about a day, swishing the back every few hours. Then you need to add half as much hot water, adding a few drops of dawn soap in the stream. Again, you have to swish back a forth every few hours for a day.Then (I hope you are getting the idea here)...you have to dump and wash the item with hot water. Put the item back in the cleaned out bag and douse with 91% isopropyl alcohol. Swish back and forth every few hours and then add a quarter as much distilled water. Swish the bag good to get the alcohol solvent carrier with the oil dispersed in the water. Remove from bag and hang on a stick to dry.Then (again I hope you are getting the idea) you have hold the item with a protective glove and spray the entire item from top to bottom and repeat until the entire 12 ounce can of acetone based brake cleaner is empty.Hang on the stick to dry.If it is OK for you at this point, believe it or not there is still enough oil trapped between the riveted pieces to weep out and protect the metal from rusting. You can tell by the smell if this is happening. If not you will need to coat it a very light mineral oils and wrap in a towel to get off the excess. You can also use a rust preventative product like Dryoff.Like I said, it is a good piece... but the cleanup is anything but easy.This is why domestically sourced product (which all come from China) are more. They wash the oil off, which it is why it is so expensive. They actually send the items out in bulk to a industrial cleaning house used for production manufacturing parts.

Bought this to use for an aventail for my helmet. For the most part well constructed, but some rivets were not properly crushed, and will fall out of the rings with enough movement.Shipping took a little longer than expected to arrive, but it wasn't too bad.Good quality riveted mail for the money, I'd recommend it.

Extremely impressive for the price. Most authentic mail in that the links are flat and riveted, and very handsome. I have a larger than average head (as I am 6’6” and 300 lbs) and reached out to the seller as instructed so I could have a bigger coif than average. Fits great! I didn’t even take my bun out before putting it on, so room to spare for something to wear underneath for comfort.10/10 would absolutely buy again

My coif got caught up in customs till after my est. Delivery date. Contacted the company and they offered to send a new one with Express shipping, no additional charge. My Coif is here now, and damn is is beautiful.

Can not say a bad word about the product. It looks like it came straight out of the 700s. The rings are smaller than I thought and it shows very well. The shipping took a bit but worth the wait.

With no loose or missing links, this is a great mail coif for its price. It fits comfortably over a padded coif and will stop most slashing blows because of the authentic design of the mail being riveted, as opposed to butted mail that most costume armors are made of. It isn't terribly cumbersome as the majority of the weight rests on the shoulders. For the price it is an incredible find.

Really like this coif. I'm likely going to modify it a bunch to my tastes but I was quite impressed with the quality.

It came lightly oiled and easily wiped up. Looks great. I take a size 7 3/8 hat and it fit well.

Esta bien armado, efectivamente viene remachado y el "tejido" de los aros es historicamente adecuado, buen tamaño y con una cofia por debajo, bastante comodo, sin embargo el orificio de la cara es un poco estrecho si es que quieres bajar la parte superior a manera de hoodie (ojo para los muy cabezones, aunque se puede arreglar facilmente con unas tijeras para metal) fuera de eso un excelente producto tanto para display, como para disfraz como para recreacionismo. aun no hago pruebas de corte , asi que no puedo valorar en este momento su resistencioa y efectividad como armadura
