Works great for Chapman bits
Most of the bad reviews seem to be from those who failed to read the all-caps, "THIS IS NOT A UNIVERSAL HANDLE - WORKS WITH CHAPMAN BITS". Chapman bits are NOT the 32 for 10 bucks 1/4" hex shank bit sets floating around; they have a ball detent and a knurled knob on the back which is what this handle is for. Holds the intended bits securely (does not work with generic 1/4" hex shank bits). As there may still be some in the back who haven't had it click like the detent ball that holds Chapman bits in place in this handle yet, this is not a universal bit holder. Snark aside..My only complaint is the price through here and I strongly recommend looking into buying direct from the manufacturer. If you're looking to build out a set of specific bits to suit your needs, you'll end up there anyway and finding out you "overpaid" for some parts is a bummer.

Five stars if it were magnetized to hold bits and bit extender in place.
a little disappointed that the "hole" where you insert the hex bit is not magnetized.I bought this to throw in my bag with my leatherman Wave, and bit attachments. Not so much to use instead of the Wave, but in those odd occurences, where I would need to use the screwdriver and maybe hold a nut on the other side with the pliers on the Wave... Cant use the Wave for both yunno? So other than that, it is what it is, it seems well made.like I said, I just wish it was magnetized to hold my bit extender in place.

Nothing fancy, but does the job
The Chapman tools are great. The bits and ratchet sets are amazing. Nothing special about this one though, it's just a handle...how can a handle excel? But, priced decent, does the job, might as well give them my business to complete my tool set.

CMH-3, surprise it's junk.
I have been wanting a hand held bit to champfer hole for a while and since I had this five flute with a 1/4" hex drive already, I though this handle was the answer. Problem is the bit is loose and more of an issue is there is nothing to hold the bit in the tool. Think about this for a bit, if you have a bit to drive even two or more screws in you would have to hold the bit in by hand as you go to the next one. For me I can epoxy the bit in, but for that I can make a handle out of wood on my lathe and epoxy it in for no money. Either way I can never use this to do anything else if I do that, so I will probably return it because it's only worth $1 in 2018 when it doesn't retain the bit.

doesn't hold anything well.
the handle is well built, nice and solid, but the socket doesn't hold on to anything. I bought a Chapman driver shaft for it, but that only kinda stays in place. I mean, it doesn't just fall out, but if you catch it on anything it's gonna pull out easy. also, the driver shaft doesn't hold on to bits at all. I don't know what kind of bits you're supposed to use with it, but I've tried 3 different designs and all of them just fall out. It's a bummer because I think it'll last a lifetime, it just won't hold onto anything.

Not Magnetic
I like the handle and grip feels good in my hand however its not magnetic to hold the steel bits from falling out which is a bummer.
