A high performance card, perfect for my new GH7. Write speed is very fast, however read speed is a bit lower than I expected, possibly due to the reader I'm using.

He says it works great. I should hope so at that price!

Excellent value for money and works very well in my Nikon Z8, 3-4s before buffer full at full FX compressed, unlimited at DX size. Even when buffer fills camera still takes photos but a slightly reduced speed. 6,000 pics at FX compressed, 13,000 at DX, so plenty even at 20fps. Guarantee not as good as say Delkin Black, but at half the price for a bigger size worth it in my view.So good I bought another one.

I’m using this card with the Nikon’s Z8 camera. If you are happy to use the camera in the compressed raw HE* mode rather than uncompressed raw then I fully recommend this card. For videographer, all of Nikons video codecs work with this card. In addition, if used with a version 4.0 card reader and thunderbolt equipped computer, you will get the benefits of faster upload transfer rates.When capturing uncompressed raw images in burst mode this card captures about 70 images at 20 fps before the image buffer fills. At that point it continues to record at about 10fps until the card is full. Using the compressed raw HE* mode one can capture an over 200 images before the buffer fills. Once the buffer is filled and shooting stops it is cleared pretty quickly allowing one to shoot at full speed again.This card is a version 4.0 card but there are currently no cameras that support this specification. The card does work in current cameras but at half the specified speed. This card is advertised with a read speed of 3400MB/S and a sustained wite speed of 2400MB/S leading one to believe images can be captured at full speed and without buffering issues. What’s more confusing is that the label on the card indicates a sustained write speed of 850MB/S which is at the bottom end of acceptability. ProGrade’s web site indicates that they have changed their benchmark algorithms and as a result have changed the sustained write speeds. These new figures are misleading and are out of line with the rest of the industry making it difficult for consumers to compare products on a like for like basis.

Whilst shooting a 4K video documentary indoors, I experienced two occasions when a Nikon Z8 shutdown due to the ProGrade Gold - CFexpress 4.0 Type B card overheating. Outdoor temperatures was 30C. Had to wait around 15 mins before I could resume shooting. Nikon Z8s have very occasionally been reported overheating but they are usually one the the better performers. Would suggest the Belkin Black card as an alternative, which runs considerably cooler, although it is around twice the price.

I tried this card in 1TB form to the more expensive cobalt cards......The number of frames per second over a 200 frame burst were the same.... I can recommend these cards at least to Nikon Z9 shooters.

For 512GB it’s pretty good value, however the claims are ambiguous, yes cameras don’t support PCIe 4.0 but many bus ports on computers can. Even with a TB4 connection to a TB4 card reader the read speed was less than a Delkin Black. I tried on different ports and 2 other card readers all are USB 4/TB3 on 3 different computers with the same results. I wanted this for the increased read speed but was left wanting. For the money it’s great value for 512GB but it doesn’t live up to its reads speed.It looks like ProGrade have updated the packaging, previously the sustained write speed was woefully inaccurate, at least they have now fixed that with new labels on the card, but not before deceiving some customers.These things get hot! for images no problem but for video look at Cobalt, Iridium or Delkin Black

Fast write speeds to support video recording and high burst rates without buffer issues. The card works well as aspected. Although I understand avoiding plastics for the case for environmental reasons, the partially open paper replacement does not work for me in the field with dust, rain, or or humidity.

I'm using this with a Nikon D850. The camera can't match the card speeds because of older technology, but the experience of downloading from this card to an M1 Mac to review is so much faster than with the previous generation of cards. Hundreds of 60mb image files can be populated for preview and imported almost instantaneously, speeding up my workflow tremendously. 40gb of files backed up in under 30 seconds. Card arrived new and in perfect condition.

La tarjeta es muy rápida tanto en escritura como en lectura. Es robusta, transmite seguridad y fiabilidad.Hace un mes más o menos que la uso y estoy muy contento.
