Design and price falls short for the Rivian R1S cargo mat
While I'm a big fan of the 3D Maxpider mat quality, I was really disappointed to find that this rear cargo mat for the R1S only covers the small area behind the 3rd row seats leaving most of my R1S cargo area unprotected. As you'd imagine, most of us looking for a "cargo" mat are probably carrying cargo or pets in the back with the 3rd row stowed. I have the same rear cargo mat from 3D Maxpider for my Acura MDX (photo attached), and it not only covers the 3rd row seats when stowed but also has folding points designed in allowing the mat to fold up when the 3rd row seats are in use. It's a great design that I would really love to see carried over for the R1S or at least the availability of a second mat that covers the 3rd row seat backs. This mat covers less than half of the area that the MDX design covers but still costs just as much.
