A great wood working tool
It is heavy duty, and holds a good edge. Works great for those that love to diy.

Its sharp right out the box.
I like everything thing about it, use it pretty much every day debarking walking sticks.

Good as a fleshing knife
It's not sharpened but I bought it for use as a fleshing knife so I didn't care. I ground down the edges to make the corners square and its thickness and grip angle makes it great for fleshing hides

Really fantastic
I was reading alot of negative comments on how it's not sharp it's dull junk idk I got mine and it is really really good it does what I need it for taking bark off tree limbs so I can make log furniture and it does the job really fast and with little effort so yes I would recommend this knife

High quality shave.
I picked this up for a project building a bridge out of logs at my camp site. Arrived blunt as expected, with a 40 grit angle grinder flap disk I gave it a quick sharpen and that was enough to square off some logs. It worked pretty much exactly as I was hoping it would. The metal is pretty thick and durable.I also like the handles, good grip and angle. While I'm used to purchasing blunt tools, the photos would seem to imply that these are sharpened. My blade edge had no exposed steel as the photos show. The entire shave was coated in that thick black paint. This didn't affect my use at all once sharpened but it may be worth noting to a layman.

Blade nicked from tree knots
I used this a few times and notice nicks on the blade which had to be from knots because I didn't hit any metal or anything

I was really surprised.
I was surprised that a tool this cheap could be so good. I bought this as a one off to make a couple of gun stock carving jobs faster and easier. Upon sharpening the blade with a grinder and honing it with a sharpening stone this thing cut through American walnut like a hot knife through butter. Though I made a couple of mistakes and ran the blade into hard surfaces a couple times the metal did not deform or gouge, the sign of a good carbon steel and proper tempering. I would have no reservations about recommending this to an amateur wood worker or a professional.

This a joke?
I buy the thing, pack it up and take it to the forest with my students to rough it. Wanted them to construct an axe handle. Joke’s on me; it’s duller than a test pattern. Buyer beware.
