Anchor Hocking 2 Quart Bistro Pitcher with Lid, Pack of Two

These were not the first water pictures I purchased for my refrigerator, (the previous ones shattered all over the place) as I will say, the poor rating made me second-guess this brand that I normally trust. These are 64 ounce glass pitchers, they feel heavy duty and sturdy to me. The glass feels thick enough. I’ve had them for six weeks now and they get a lot of action here, we are big water drinkers in this house, and they are constantly getting pulled in and out of the refrigerator and we have had zero issues. I prefer to take the white lid off when I pour, I saw other people complain about dribbling, but I have found for me, if I take the white part off, there’s no problem. I rather like that They don’t have a handle because one of the other others I purchased previously did have handles and that did not end well because everything is made so cheap these days. The grip indentation serves its purpose perfectly and I don’t miss having a handle.I wish I had just gone with these anchor hocking ones in the first place and saved myself some trouble and loads of cleanup from busted water pictures all over my kitchen. I will likely purchase two more soon as I would like to have a 2 gallon total cold water reserve in my refrigerator.

**UPDATE: 1 month into it and the spigot leaks a lot, mainly at the base. I've decided to get stainless steel after all - just need to carefully pick a good one and inspect it before installation (they tend to have metal debris and stains even before first use)** It's exactly what I wanted size wise, glass lid instead of metal lid (which tend to rust), wide mouth so it's easy to pour water into it daily as we distill water at home, acrylic spigot instead of stainless steel (which, again sometimes rust). Not one flaw in the glass so it looks perfect on the counter. It came well packaged with the spigot already installed. I only needed to tighten it and done! Pours fast too. Highly recommend.

Just realized I now have a soggy spot in my carpet after finding the back of the bowl has a fracture in the curved part of the base. It’s slowly leaking and no longer can’t hold water. It would be nice to receive a replacement item as this bowl is no longer capable of holding liquid as its purpose. Officially garbage for my use. This was my second order with the first container coming in perfect. I would love to get a replacement, but I had already threw away the box that came in thinking my second order would’ve been just like the first.

05/04/22 Was finally contacted by customer support. I told them the condition of second unit and they apologized for condition. They said the only thing they could do is try one more time. I received the 2 gallon dispenser today and in direct sunlight could not find any obvious flaws. My mom said it looks so much clearer than any other and she is 90. It is a beautiful glass work. Worthy of: "MADE IN USA". 04/15/22 I wrote review after a few days of use. Found defects in glass and contacted Oneida & Anchor Hocking. From Sept 2021 to Jan 14 or so tried to get a response and was eMailed they would send a replacement Jan 16, 2022, but I would have to wait 8 to 10 weeks. Never did receive anything after 80 or so days. Started eMails again. No response. Couple weeks latter an Anchor Hocking package was outside. No notice, tracking, nothing. Opened package and replacement had really bad defects, much worse than first. eMailed photos and have never received a response. The original has never leaked in 6 months. My main concern are flaws like this in glass will usually break. Water after all is about 8.33lbs per gallon, or around 20.825lbs with 2.5 gallons it holds. These are very nice although the stoppers don’t fit tight.

This is a great container for ice tea lovers. It uses refrigerator space very efficiently and makes enough tea for 2-4 days depending on how many users. We use 5 small black tea bags, warm tap water, not Ice Tea bags, let it brew for an hour or two and then refrigerate. Sweeten if you wish!

I bought two of these a year ago to hold laundry detergent and fabric softener. The included spigots are metal colored plastic. They leak, don’t turn smoothly, and applying the necessary pressure to them causes issues with the subpar seal and causes leaking are the base of the spigots. Although they look nice, the included spigots had be nearly ready to scrap the jars. I tried using glue, silicone, etc to fix the leaking but it was hopeless. A few months ago I ordered a 2-pack of honest to goodness metal “Oak Leaf replacement spigots” [ Oak Leaf Replacement Spigots [ https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07JZ6KJQJ ] and WOW… what a difference!!! No more leaking (anywhere), the operation is buttery smooth, and they look nicer - very farmhouse in appearance. I cannot possibly urge you more strongly to save yourself tons of stress and headache in fighting a losing battle with the included spigots - if you order these, order good quality metal spigots and trash the included plastic ones.

Great for brewing Kombucha. Most of the complaints seem to be about leaking faucet, it needs to be well tightened before use. No leak issues once that is done.

El grifo es de plástico, de muy mala calidad y viene mal sellado, el agua chorrea. El producto no funcional. No lo compren
