Cast Cover for arm kids

This is thick, durable, dependable. It’s really tight on my chubby arm, but it’s very effective. I was double-trash-bagging my cast, using elastic hair ties to hold them on my arm. It’s watertight, but somehow it allows condensation to form, which dripped into my cast. They also shrink in the heat a bit. I was worried I’m going to rip them or poke a finger through, and ordered this. Folds flat enough to keep & add to my linen closet’s “I’m hurt” bin. : ) This is very snug, thick silicone at the cuff and a thick, shower-curtain PVA material. I’m not worried I’ll tear it, and it’s easy enough to pull on myself. It is exactly what I needed to permit me to shower with a broken arm. I would not want to pull it over anything raw or unsupported without help.

Worked just as it was intended to keep my 10yr old son’s short arm cast dry in the shower. He did need a little help getting the sleeve on each time to ensure a tight waterproof seal. He is about 5ft tall and around 130lbs. The sleeve fit very snug, but comfortable, not restricting and soft enough to allow him to have full use of his fingers and hand while independently showering. We used this almost daily for nearly 7 weeks. Never leaked around the seals, kept his arm and cast completely dry every time. We even bought an extra to be kept at dad’s house and an extra to keep on hand for the future or to gift family/friends if needed. Hope to never need to purchase again, certainly will and recommend to others.

This was a lifesaver for my vacation to Hawaii! I had a fresh cast added to my arm right before our vacation. Even though I missed out on scuba diving, I was still able to do snorkeling with no problem, and also used it in the Resource swimming pool and hot tub with no issue. It does collect a little bit of condensation on the inside, but does not leak at all. It really helped on our eight day trip also very helpful in the shower and far better than those plastic bags they give you to wear and try to tie clothes that never do all the way. I have definitely stored this to keep in case we need it again!

I had my hand in a splint/cast for five weeks, and this cover kept it nice and dry. My arm, around my elbow, measures between 10 to 11 inches around. This cover was a little too tight, thus I did have to cut a tiny sliver out of the rubber edge to keep it from cutting off my circulation.
