Totally Worth It, Looks Real, Fits Perfectly, and Solved a Big Eyesore
Wow, this faux rock was absolutely worth it. I’ve used plenty of garden rocks over the years to hide different things in the yard, but I’ve been trying to cover our septic tank lids for a long time. They sit on a slight hill of hard‑packed clay where nothing grows, and it’s always been an eyesore. I recently bought a beautiful patriotic wishing well by NestNature on Amazon and wanted the area around it to finally look nice. I tried two other faux rocks to cover the septic lids, but neither fit and both went back. Then I came across this Emsco Group (2271) medium granite rock, and I’m so glad I did. I was worried it would be too big or look out of place, but I was completely wrong. These rocks look incredibly realistic, blend naturally into the landscape, and are extremely sturdy. They even come with built‑in stake points and stakes to secure them, which is a must on windy days. They’re so solid and convincing that my grandkids and even the animals immediately started climbing on them. No dents, no wobbling, just tough, durable construction. I’m planning to dress up the area even more by adding gravel around the clay hill so it becomes a feature instead of something we try to hide. This project is something my wife has wanted me to tackle for a while, and she’s thrilled with the early results. Photos don’t even do it justice. If you’re trying to cover septic lids or anything else in the yard and want something that actually looks natural, this is the one.

Decent cover!
Got this to cover the lid on our sewage pit and ekectrical box which is in our frontyard. The fit was spot on as the lid that it covers is 20" in diameter and sits 8" above grade. Seems heavy enough not to blow away but I plan to secure it with tent stakes. Doesn't really look real up close but looks good from a distance. Once we add a bit more landscape, it will blend in better. Looks so much better than the ugly green lid. Time will tell how long it lasts but hoping for many years!

Look pretty darn good as in natural, like a rock should. *insert grinning emoji here*
These are terrific. I have real boulders in my yard, these fit right in my natural landscape theme. The caveat is they also protect certain elements of my drip system from being crushed by tree guys and the iike.

Lightweight and Functional Decorative Rock for the Yard
This landscape rock is surprisingly useful even though it does not look completely realistic up close. It is lightweight and easy to move, which makes it perfect for covering up sprinkler heads, pipes, or small utility boxes in the yard. The size is good for smaller landscaping projects, and the color blends in decently with natural surroundings from a distance. I like that it stays in place once positioned and holds up well against rain and sun without fading or cracking. It is also made from durable plastic that feels sturdy but is easy to handle. Even though the texture and finish look a little artificial when viewed up close, it still gets the job done and improves the overall look of the area. For the price and convenience, it is a practical option for quick landscaping fixes. It is especially nice for spots where a real rock would be too heavy or difficult to move. While not perfect visually, it is definitely effective and functional for what it is meant to do.

Looks pretty realistic
I put it over the float for our pool, which is in our stone bed, with some good size rocks on either side and you can’t tell it’s fake. It was a little tall for the float so I used a hacksaw and cut off about a third of it. Even the lizards here in Florida climb on it same as the other rocks and they sit on it in the sun.

XL flat, used to have two colors. Love them.
I have three myself that cover sewer manholes. My daughter also has one. They nearly completely cover the green top (which i hated), and when the grass grows, you can see nothing of the ugly green. There is a rock on the top because we get fierce winds here, and i found them once at my neighbors’ house. They are pretty heavy, but i like the extra weight. Kids can sit on them. And i have also. The weed eaters dont seem to bother them. So they have been in place three years now. Look new.
